WHO WON AND WHO LOST: Republican Primary Debate #3

Marco Rubio, Donald Trump and Ted Cruz emerged as Wednesday night's three big winners, alrgely because they focused most of their firepower on America's political media industry.

Financial news network CNBC was the evening's biggest loser, drawing slings and arrows from many of the campaign organizations.

Rubio came off as presidential, cementing himself in the third-place slot. Cruz will likely gain the most traction in the polls that follow the Colorado debate.

Trump won't lose momentum, and is likely to stay atop the leaderboard.

Jeb Bush campaign manager Danny Diaz was seen arguing with a CNBC producer offstage during the broadcast, bickering over how much time the former Florida governor was allotted.

Bush is the only candidate in the GOP's top tier who lacked a YouTube-worthy moment after two hours of squabbling.

Trump will be remembered for declaring victory over CNBC and taking credit for negotiating a shortened debate format that let candidates 'get the hell out of here' – and for casting aside Ohio Gov. John Kasich by declaring: 'You can have him!'

A half-hour after the debate ended, CNBC had turned off the TV monitors in the press filing center, effectively hiding its own post-debate broadcast coverage from the hundreds of reporters who traveled to cover the event.

Bozell: CNBC Debate Was an 'Encyclopedic Example of Liberal Media Bias'

(I don't think anybody here gives a shit or has already given up. No problem)

MRC president Brent Bozell issued a statement Wednesday night criticizing the overall tilt and tone of the CNBC Republican debate in Boulder:

"The CNBC moderators acted less like journalists and more like Clinton campaign operatives.  What was supposed to be a serious debate about the many issues plaguing our economy was given up for one Democratic talking point after another served up by the so-call 'moderators.'  They clearly war-gamed this thinking that a relentless series of personal attacks on the candidates would somehow drive their ratings and help Hillary Clinton.

The CNBC debate will go down in history as an encyclopedic example of liberal media bias on stage.  The audience roared its disdain for these so-called 'journalists,' and all of America heard it.  CNBC should be embarrassed for their pitiful display of partisan liberal media bias and apologize to the GOP candidates and the American people."

'The questions asked so far illustrate why the American people don't trust the media. This is not a cage match,' Cruz said

Glad I don't watch this crap anymore.

I use free TV and don't get PMSNBC....or CNN or FNC or the others.

Well, I must say it doesn't exactly sound like business as usual, media mandarins and political golems making lust with each other all night. (Course that was also not the case with Ron Paul.) Candidates attacking the media (with whatever degree of sincerity) is something entirely new.

The golems wouldn't be doing it without Trump leading the way, natch. From start to finish, gliberalism's entire existence depends on handouts and free rides courtesy of the conservative mainstream. "Whoever you are, we have always depended on the kindness of suckers"...... Hope somebody puts up the guts of the good stuff soon!

The ones attacking the moderators (Jeb Bush) are the weakest arseholes.

I can fend any question on my feet, and I'm not running for potus.

You may not like the answer you get, and I may not like the question, but I'm not going to in the middle of the question break down and pout and cry that you asked me a question I didn't like or evade the question by answering it with what a great guy I am.

There were some good answers, but you had to work hard to catch them due to the hair pulling, to the delight of Hillary.

This one was successful for Hillary to the extent the moderators did manage to get them to attack EACH OTHER instead of focusing on Hillary. 95% was more about attacking each other and chest beating and bragging about 'solutions' that never worked.

But there were at least four or five good points made.

I'm glad Trump didn't apologize to Jeb's wife for Trump drawing out the distinction that Jeb favored amnesty and Mexicans because his wife was a dual Mexican citizen.

Maybe Hillary wrote the script and Bill was the key grip?

Now you're talking about doing it RIGHT, huh -- grown men and women acting like such, maybe even talking in a normal, non-theatrical, businesslike tone that connotes self-assurance -- and maybe even sticking to the real issues like white on rice. That would be a luxury in a Planet of the Apes endtime like this!
