Sheriff Rogers Has a Warning for Obama if He Issues an Unconstitutional Executive Action on Gun Control
At least one Indiana sheriff has decided to take a stand in the event that President Obama issues an Executive Order aimed to restrict the rights of American gun owners. Sheriff Bradley Rogers of Elkhart County, Indiana wants the President to know that he will defend the Constitution of the United States and put it ahead of any executive order that seeks to violate it.
Rogers appeared recently on Fox News Fox and Friends show and told host Brian Kilmeade that,
If President Obama today said, Im creating an Executive Order that all sheriffs and police chiefs around this nation need to start registering firearms, I will disregard it
When theres laws or orders that violate that Constitution, I dont have to obey them.
The government shouldnt know whos got weapons
weve seen in other countries what could happen when the government knows who has what guns
Like Australia and Great Britain which have both banned and confiscated firearms.
Kilmeade asked Rogers for his suggestion on how to stop what we all agree with what has to stop?
Rogers responded with,
We need to remove gun-free zones. Im not saying we arm all teachers, but we should not promote that. The bad guys, the criminals and the terrorists, are looking for a place where concealed carry is not allowed. Schools are prime targets for those mass murders.
Why wouldnt we want to protect our greatest treasures, our children? We protect our politicians, we protect our VIPs with armed guards, but yet we wont protect our children. That doesnt make sense.

An unconstitutional Executive Order is no order at all. It is null and void.
