Dana Durford is a veteran diver who's been handicapped by the bends and has to wear leg braces. Nonethless, he's been singlehandedly surveying the BS coastline - if you can believe it - in a 21-foot Zodiac with a wooden wheelhouse built over it for shelter. If you've ever been out on the big drink in a small boat, you'll recognized what a champion mariner Durford is.
With all the crappy stuff we are dealing with these days, from the warfare state breathing down our necks to the fiscal/financial time bomb we're living on top of, Fukushima and its aftermath may be the biggest threat not only to us but many succeeding generations.
