Clinton minister faces sexual charges against 12-year-old By Chris Berendt Friday, January 20, 2006 1:11 PM EST Thomas Lindell Robinson WARSAW — A Clinton man and pastor of a church in Duplin County has been charged with having sexual relations with a 12-year-old girl who frequented the church’s day care operated by the pastor’s wife, according to Duplin County Sheriff’s authorities. The sex acts reportedly occurred on multiple occasions from March to December 2005 and the girl is now pregnant and expecting to give birth within the next week, authorities said. Thomas Lindell Robinson, 56, of 2041 Old Warsaw Road, Clinton, has been charged with first-degree rape of a child and taking indecent liberties with a child. Robinson was taken into custody on Jan. 13 and is currently under $1 million bond. Robinson, a resident of Clinton, is pastor at New Life Christian Center on Pete Quinn Road in Warsaw. The 12-year-old girl is a resident of Duplin County. “It’s disheartening to me that someone in that position would violate a child like that,” said Duplin County Sheriff Blake Wallace. According to Duplin County Sheriff’s Detective Linda Tyson, the girl visited the church’s adjoining day care facility, New Life Early Childhood Development Center, after school and during the summer when school was not in session. “All evidence indicates that he had sexual relations with this girl on more than one occasion,” said Wallace. The investigation was launched by the Sheriff’s Office in November after authorities received information that the 12-year-old was pregnant, the sheriff said. The Division of Social Services and Department of Health and Human Services was then notified. The day care has been closed by the state, said Wallace. The day care, of which Robinson’s wife was the director, was closed down “for the safety of the children,” said Wallace. According to the sheriff, Robinson was “in and out of the day care and had contact with the children.” “It’s shocking to me that someone in a position of trust and should be a role model to people in this community would do something like this,” said Wallace. “It’s sad and it’s disgusting, quite frankly.” The sheriff said that the investigation into Robinson was ongoing. A joke on the sickness of it all. I have seen the sexual perversion of the fundmentalist churches all too well. It really can be weird. Repressed ladies go to the one outlet they can feel emotion, the evangelical churches, and the sexual, or other, release of them is a real experience. Strange and sad.

There's a larger issue here, nothing less than the "great error" of Western religion. I'm working on an essay concerning that subject, which I'll post on this forum when it's done. But here's the gist of if in a nutshell: Everything that is screwed up in our society can be traced back to the great error that takes place on page one of the Bible, the part where it says "I Am". God is not an ego, what we call "God" is too big to fit into something as small as an "I". Satanism is ego worship, self glorification, the ultimate realization of "I" elevated to supreme prominence. God is the exact opposite, something so big and so all-encompassing that there is no way whatsoever to fit it into something so small as to refer to itself as "I". When we embrace "God" as an "I am", the way is paved to create every single screwed up hierarchical system created by man, every one with a pig on top saying "I am" (the boss, the king, the emperor, CEO, president, grand poobah, whatever) and every one demanding all bow before them. They think that they deserve everything and that everyone else deserves nothing but a boot in the face, and it all comes from the great error they are all taught when they're knee high to a grasshopper. The error happens on the first step on the first page of the first book, and every step that follows goes further down the road of greed and selfishness and depravity. God is not an "I", God is far too big to fit into such a little space. Until we can get everyone to realize this, and to no longer submit to the wild demands of the uncaged egos who seek to fill the place on Earth of the great "I am" that they all mistakenly seek to emulate, we are doomed to eternally repeat the same errors into infinity...

Satan's problem was hubris, i.e. he wanted to be God. That's Man's problem, too. Some want to be God. That "Man as God" belief has been the basis of every problem humanity has ever suffered. The Bible says, "Pride goes before destruction." It's the same as the Greek's "Hubris followed by Nemesis."
Satanism is ego worship, self glorification, the ultimate realization of "I" elevated to supreme prominence.

Thank you Tommy. I know that you've lived through what is commonly referred to as an "Near Death Experience", my viewpoint is largely shaped by what I've read of other people's NDE's. I'm of the opinion that if you want to learn about a distant land, that you are better off learning from those who have actually traveled there than from those who have only read about it from ancient books.
