What This WWII Vet Found In A Thrift Store Left Him In Tears A record store is the last place youd ever expect to find a letter that was written from the battlefield of the WWII allied front.
Crazy thing is thats exactly what 90-year old Bill Moore found when a woman reached out to him after finding a letter he had written during the invasion in the sleeve of a record in in a thrift store in Colorado..
The letter was steeped in memory as it was a letter to his soon to be wife.
Take a look.
Of course Moore never expected to come into contact with the letter after it was written.
When speaking to reporters he said I was really surprised, he told reporters. I had no way of knowing it would show up in the way it did, and it would actually reach me.
Of course the nostalgia of reading the letter more than half a century after he wrote it left him in tears.
The letter which was written in 25 read My darling, lovable, alluring Bernadean
I ran out of space, but I could have written a lot more adjectives describing you. You are so lovely, darling, that I often wonder how it is possible that you are mine. Im really the luckiest guy in the world, you know. And you are the reason.
For more the letter was especially emotional as he lost his wife in 2010.
What a special moment it must have been to be reunited with such a touching and emotional anchor to his past.

It's been a very long time since I wrote a love letter to a woman. Too many years driving the big truck.
