(Should be) Reason #1: Syria took in lots of Germans (Nazi's!!!!!) after WWII and Israel has never forgotten or forgiven Syria for the presence of those Germans right next door. It's stuck in their craw and they have obsessed about those Germans day and night in true jewish fashion.
