"From the comments: 'My theory is that a lot of the creepy freepers who post on lefty sites are just low-level right-out-of-college cubicle jockeys at right wing think-tanks. They're getting paid to skulk around and regurgitate winger talking points. Just a theory of course.

Have you ever noticed that a lot of them tend to post a lot during business hours and then disappear on the weekends? I guess that's when their busy date-raping one another ...' I've noticed this a lot over at the HuffPo. There seem to be a couple of people whose job it is to just jump in and leave right-wing talking points at the top of every thread. It doesn't happen if you post at night, and then they won't show up until business hours the next day."

http://firedoglake.blogspot.com/

Firedoglake provides a link to this poster comment at The Washington Monthly:

"Hey guys,

I interviewed for a guerilla marketing business that targeted web forums.

I was told that if I accepted the job, I was to have at LEAST 50 identities on as many forums as I could muster (they wanted 100 eventually), with a goal of 5 posts an hour. The posts had to be well thought out, and the idea was that I was to establish multiple identities with a history on the forums, so that when the timing was right a well written but subtly placed marketing post could be finessed in. And regular visitors would recognize the post as coming from a long time poster.

They had 12 people working there full time, and were hiring 10 more. You do the math. No wait, I'll do it for you: that's 880 posts a day (if minimum was met). However he said the better ones could do around 8 or 10 an hour. And they had different "verticals" so there was the sports guy, and the politics guy, the hentai, excuse me I mean anime guy, etc.

But the most critical point was this: develop and integrate the identity. No random "HEY SONY IS AWESOME BUY THIS" stuff.

Kinda spooky.

P.S. Five posts AN HOUR? Sound like anyone you know..."

Badeye seems to post at a rate greater than one post every two minutes. I assume that's a lot of the reason he refuses to provide links, so that he can keep up that pace. And his posts are certainly not well thought out.

BeAChooser's posts, on the other hand, are so long that they're a pain to read through.

lol! (but I mean really subtle, like someone pretending to be dense but nice, like palo perhaps). Before the election these paid shills will step up the pace, like USMCVet on LP did.

This may explain quite a bit. Some elements of our society would rather us get angered over a police brutality incident and not keep examining what the nazicrats are doing to our country.

Just how can the American sheeple be concerned with issues such an $8 Trillion federal debt ($50 Trillion counting unfunded obligations), the federal government spying on its own citizens, an unchecked invasion from the south, and Americans unnecessarily killing and being killed in a war to benefit Israel when some clown actully LIED to Queen Oprah and they still haven't figured out who pushed the guy off the cruise ship?

It's all about priorities--American sheeple priorities as determined by the federal media.

In 1947, the UN created a perpetual war and named it Israel.

I know for a fact that this has been the modus operandi for at least 3 to 5 years. This started during the Clinton Administration, when they were working to squelch the liberal vote, and the horrible horseshit that came after the failed election of Gore.

When Free Republic had all those people out there railing on Al Gore, and I admit I was one of those people who was pissed he wouldn't just let it go, that's when they had surplus of cash. These people made a shitload of money, and continue to do so from the RNC.

What I couldn't understand, is how several posters seemed to be on there 24/7, posting like mad, yet, talked about how they actually work. If I were these people's bosses, I'd be looking at how they're wasting company resources.

I think it's even funnier still that in order to maintain their moral superiority, and classy image, that these political thinktanks have to hire braindead morons to regurgitate the same shit over and over again.

Decency, and integrity used to be like chocolate. Good Chocolate sells itself. Even bad Chocolate sells itself. If you have to SELL someone an ideology, then perhaps your ideology isn't worth buying. Last time I checked, decency, and morality used to be a valued commodity. Now, the image of decency, and integrity is the commodity. Being a good, honest and moral person are all signs of weakness, and to be rebuked.

THAT is the face of politics, always has been, always will be.
