The US is “desperate” to disrupt Russian peace efforts in Syria, says Bennett.

The US government is seeking to establish a military “cornerstone” in Syria in order to launch counter-measures against the Russians who have been invited by the Syrian government to combat the Daesh (ISIL) terrorist group, says an American counter-terrorism analyst.

On Wednesday, US President Barack Obama defended his decision to deploy special operations forces in Syria and Iraq to reportedly fight the Daesh terrorist group, insisting that it will not lead to “an Iraq-style invasion” of the two countries.

The announcement came shortly after the arrival of 50 US Special Operation Forces in the Syrian cities of Kobani and Hasakah to “train and assist” Kurdish fighters in combating Daesh.

“It probably is one of the greatest moves of hypocrisy and nonsense that the American military has ever had the sad duty of participating in,” Scott Bennett told Press TV on Friday. “Because we know the Obama administration has been funding and informing and feeding and providing the bullets and the guns and the medical aid kits to ISIL components.”

Bennett, a former US Army psychological warfare officer, said that Washington’s plans for “mercenary contracting” the terrorists that are wreaking havoc in parts of Syria and Iraq go back to 2008.

Obama is looking for a “dug-in” position in Syria which will act as a platform for setting in motion counter-measures against Russia’s military campaign in the Arab country, Bennett said.

“He is trying to establish forces in the country of Syria that can be used to stop the Russian advance,” he added.

Bennett further noted that fighting Daesh is only a “mask” the US government is using, because in nature “it is an unnecessary operation.”

Russian support for Syria

The counter-terrorism analyst said elsewhere in his remarks that Russia’s military backing of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad is paving the way for “fantastic” military victories against the foreign-backed Takfiri terrorists.

“Obama sees that Assad is not going to be toppled and in fact he is stronger now that he ever was.”

That is why, Bennett said, the US is “desperate” to make its way into Syria to hurdle that process and remove Assad from power.

US government officials say for the Syrian peace efforts to yield results, Assad needs to step down.

However, Bennett believes it is Obama who is blocking the international push for peace. “Russia and the world want peace and everything Obama has done has been the opposite, so he should be removed by the United States Congress in an impeachment.”

Poster Comment:

Russia and most of the rest of the world wants peace in Syria but not Israel which sees the Assad regime as an obstacle to its expansion in ME and is happy to get ISIS oil at half the already low world price. So US Congress needs Obama to oppose peace efforts or its members won't be getting vital support from Israel's Sayanim at election time, so they can't be impeaching Obama.

Among other things, their stupidity and rot are extreme because if they all jointly refused Jue bribery like Trump, it would equal out and each could uniformly spend less without affecting outcomes.

In politics as in war nobody can be trusted to abide by rules or gentlemen's agreements.
