Bloombergs Gun Control Dreams Suffer Staggering Setback
Michael Bloomberg has invested upwards of $50 million dollars over the past few years in attempts to oust the pro-gun GOP. His latest defeat came on November 3rd, when a $2 million dollar donation into the Virginia Senate race failed to secure the Democrats the desired seats.
Ironically, it was nearly two years ago to the day that Bloombergs gun control dreams for Virginia suffered a staggering setback. Through Mayors Against Illegal Guns (MAIG), Bloomberg & Co. endorsed candidates, only to lose in 97 percent of Virginia delegate races. And, as BPR reported, the worst part of election results for Bloomberg was that his losses came at the hands of the NRA.
Since 2013, Bloomberg has financially backed the losing horse time and again. He and his anti-gunners have been soundly beaten on all accounts, yet they still seem to believe that throwing millions at the perceived problem will win them the vote and their un-Constitutional way.
This latest defeat came despite aggressive campaigning by Democrat Gov. Terry McAuliffe. McAuliffe, an ardent Hillary Clinton ally, is notoriously anti-gun. The hopes that McAuliffe and Bloomberg placed on hefty donations and their gun control advocacy platform left the bitter taste of defeat in their mouths. Despite outspending the Republican candidates by a substantial amount, Virginia remains a non-Bloomberg territory.

Virginia was the cradle of the Revolution, and the start of the Civil War originated there, with Robert E. Lee's estate being located there. Too bad for Bloomberg and his ilk. ROTFLOL!
