Even with my family, when I was married with children and now that I am living with a lady. I have always felt alone on all holidays.

Been going to my in-laws house on Christmas eve for 27 years now, all day trip including 4 hours on the road, and I look forward to spending Christmas day alone with my wife. Nice and quiet, listening to Burl Ives singing in the background. Ol' Burl does the best Christmas music.

Simpler is so often better. With my immediate family, my efforts to cope with the painful gulf between my "extremism" and their mindless Babbitt "normalcy" only made things worse decade after decade.

Christmas is complicated. Suicides surge. You remember the ecstatic Christmases of childhood (if you were so blessed) and adult life in the NWO USSA falls so far short. Simpler is better, doing what you really want for the occasion is the ideal.

I have a compatriot pal who's terrifically well-adjusted but during the first years I knew him and his wife, she divulged to me that the approach of Christmas brought him massive depression every year for no known reason. Mebbe because the poor guy's parents married grossly too young (for them) and quickly split up?

Enuff moping for me. Here comes Santy Claws!
