Okay, I know I can do the research but I've been thinking about this for a while and I figure I'd throw the question out to see what kind of quick answers I get (or what directions people point me in). Ya know - 3000 people is not a lot of people to die in the collapse of two of the largest office towers in the world. I rarely hear people comment on this or actually consider these numbers. Several hundred people died in the 4 planes and and were fire or rescue/security people who had rushed into the scene. That leaves maybe 2500 or so office workers who died. Those buildings hold thousands of people - I don't know what the approximate numbers would be but I wouldn't be surprised if each tower could hold at least 10k on its own.
Sure many thousands of those people evacuated - and they were very fortunate to have the time to do so, but did a lot of people just not SHOW up for work that day? Is there something odd about these numbers?
What do you folks think, or what has your research shown you? I think - intuitively that the numbers on 9/11, if this were a genuine attack - should be MUCH HIGHER.
