Kennedy, spoken over 50 years ago, in his inaugural address to America. The importance of these words still rings true today, penetrating the dying soul of an entitlement-minded society that is suppressed by political correctness and suffocated by some tyrannical idea of equality. Millions of young people today have lost their way in mind and heart. So many college kids today think the world owes them. They think they are owed an education, a job that pays $15 an hour, food, healthcare and housing – and the list is growing. No longer does the heart of a generation cry out for freedom; instead, it is suffocating in the selfish, envious desire for free stuff. They think, if they have enough votes, then they can use the government as a vehicle of forcibly take what isn't theirs, to entitle their poor little selves. College students marching for freebies, not freedom The exertion of the human spirit, the power of the human will and the ingenuity of the mind are being stifled, left behind, as millions of college students' march for handouts and freebies. And they are being fooled by the lavish promises of politicians running for President. The candidates today are a mere skeleton of what was once a position of integrity. Leaders, like John F. Kennedy, once inspired people to be free and resilient in heart. Today, candidates like Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders encourage blind followers to be beggars who pretend to be oppressed, offended and discriminated. Instead of asking what they can do for their country and their world, this new generation of dependents is too busy being offended and begging for things they think they are entitled to. This dying breed no longer takes pride in what they do; they only pride themselves in how much they can take from others or how much they can get their way by being offended. Political correctness being used as a weapon to silence others Right along with the entitlement-mindset is the issue of political correctness on college campuses. Yes, it spreads like a disease in universities, where students are coddled, indoctrinated and given a false version of how the world really works. College campuses are now a breeding ground for those who want to enforce some unrealistic sense of equality. This warped sense of equality is creating a new generation of easily-offended dependents. To them, everything must be worded the way they want to hear it, so as not to offend some minority, or some racially oppressed group. Challenge, question, or say something they don't agree with, and they might report you for a hate crime. College students sign petition to axe the First Amendment of the US Constitution The kind of people roaming some of America's most prestigious universities are so oblivious to how the world really works, that they would willingly, blindly and ignorantly sign a petition to axe the First Amendment of the US Constitution. Showing no hesitation, scores of college students at Yale University listlessly surrendered some of the most important freedoms protected by the US Constitution. College students sign petition to ban 'White Christmas' from the airwaves College students will even go as far as signing a petition to ban the song White Christmas from the airwaves, because the word "White" in "White Christmas" is so racially insensitive.
