To get much more than constitutes whats described as a good night But when Jeff Louis, a recovering addict, was ordered to take a delivery to a church he could have never expected the night he was going to have was going to register as all time. When Jeff Louis a delivery driver for Gioninos Pizza in Mentor, Ohio brought an order to Life Point Church, the 22-year-old probably didnt expect an experience that would shake him to the core. But thats exactly what happened when the congregation of Life Point gave him a tip of more than $700, inspiring him to film an impromptu reaction outside the church that he posted to his YouTube channel, and which has now reached thousands of people. According to WKYC.com, Life Points pastor Ken Wright came up with the idea of tipping the delivery driver $100 in the spirit of the holidays. Yeah, I just thought lets tip him $100. Its the holiday season, Wright told the station. But then something entirely unplanned happened. The congregation asked Louis to take the pizzas up to the stage and then, one by one, tipped him. You know, the most amazing thing happened, a teary-eyed Louis says on the video. This whole church came up and gave me over $700 for a tip. You know it was spontaneous. It just happened, Wright told WKYC. They started lining up one by one with their own cash tips. But for Louis, who is in recovery, it was more than just a generous tip it was a restoration of hope. It really truly amazes me that people who dont even know me just wanted to help me out that much, Louis says in the video. This is such a heartwarming story. And while Christians constantly receive the brunt end of ridicule across the U.S. they are constantly doing things like this that are simply amazing. Can you imagine what would happen if a story like this went viral
what it might do for the status of Christians in the U.S. But in all honesty, who cares, noble deeds done in secret are much more satisfying than those done in public. Poster Comment: The story does not say how many pizzas he delivered. But it must have been quite a few. $700 for a tip? Sheesh, When I delivered flowers, $50 was a GREAT day! I remember when I lived in Chicago, I was working and had some cash. The guys in the neighborhood wanted to order pizza. No way would I spring for them. So they ordered four pizzas in a row on the same street. When the guy was delivering the first one, they stole the other three from the car. I imagine the delivery guy had to cover it since he was responsible for the pizza. That's gratitude for you.
