Lemmy a.k.a. Ian Fraser Kilmister of the band Motörhead has died at the age of 70 according to reports. Little else is known about the legendary rockers death at this time, but SPIN has reached out to Motörheads reps for confirmation and comment.
Never heard of him or Motorhead before today. But according to Wikipedia, Lemmy's drummer thought the whole world knew and loved him:
"...drummer Mikkey Dee confirmed that Motörhead would not continue, stating: "Motörhead is over, of course. Lemmy was Motörhead," adding: "We won't be doing any more tours or anything. And there won't be any more records. But the brand survives, and Lemmy lives on in the hearts of everyone." (Italics mine.)
Thanks, but no thanks. I fast forwarded it at the start to 0:13 and lasted until 0:17. As Tom T. Hall used to say, "Five string banjo's more my style."
Dakmar says, and I quote: "Motorhead is not for the faint of heart." : ) Once, Lemme did play a violin...........people cried, it was moving. However, there have been no reported sighting of Lemme and a banjo.
