I am NEVER downloading another video about any kind of conspiracy theory crap.

Here's why.

I had a big fat virus or worm embedded in the Painful Deceptions Video I downloaded. Couldn't figure out why my machine slowed down dramatically, or why it took forever for pages to load on the net.

Then After scouring my system and hard drive, I found the big fat virus in it.

NOT A FUCKING CHANCE I'll download anything from the web. Not after that.

Was it a virus or just a bunch of spyware? The latter seems much more likely.

I download all kinds of stuff all of the time, and never get any kinds of virus. Not one, not ever.

Of course, I use OS X, so maybe that has something to do with it...

It was posted on here. It went to the Google Video

I ran Crap Cleaner, and was noticing a ton of stuff that was saved to my temporary folder. There was an executable file that shouldn't have been there. It was also created the same time the file for the video was created.

This little bug, not only had my computer logging into TWO separate servers, but was sending out a lot of information. Every time I would visit a website, everything took forever, and if I POSTED to THIS website we're on now, the second I'd go to type, it would kick me back to the index, where I'd have to re-enter my user name and password.

I also noticed my machine became incredibly sluggish. Then I checked to see what processes were running, and there were several that were tied together, one of which was for printer sharing, and I don't have a printer attached to my computer.

I don't typically download videos of anything, but I am convinced more than ever, that some of these free videos are laced with something else. I think it's best to just buy the damned DVD. At least your DVD player doesn't browse the internet.

Spyware is probably a better term. I had to delete my temporary internet folder to get rid of the thing.

I too, am an OSX user. What is that virus thingy folks are always talking about? I've never caught one.

I just watched Loose Chance (2) and it is outstanding. It now replaces Painful Deceptions as my number one give away, along with Martial Law.

Ordered the DVD.
