The other side of the coin is that Adolph Eichmann was offered a medal by the Jews for his efforts to resettle German Jews into Palestine. The other Adolph made him refuse it.

Until 1941 Nazi policy was emigration (forced, i suppose). Changed to extermination when Germany went to war with the USSR.

IIRC Irving states that Hitler was informed in 1943. (I don't recall what Irving's proof was.)

That would contradict the rest of Irving's entire raison d'être, but if you can find it I'm interested.

IIRC it was in "Hitler's War" and unfortunately I no longer have the book. When Irving wrote that and his other histories of WWII, he was not a Holocaust denier. He might have become one later on but am reluctant to take Google's word for it :-).

I do still have "The War Path" where he deals with the events leading up to WWII. Here's an exerpt:

"Hitler's personal part in this anti-Jewish programme was one of passive observation. Talking with Colonel Josef Beck, the Polish foreign minister, on 5 January, he rather speciously regretted that the western powers had not entertained Germain's colonial demands: 'If they had, I might have helped solve the Jewish problem by making a territory available in Africa for resettlement of not only the German but the Polish Jews as well.' On the twenty-first, he uttered to the Czech foreign minister Chvalkovsky these omnious words: 'Thew Jews here are going to be destroyed.' . . . ."

As it was I who made the claim out of memory (why can I remember a book I read 20 years ago but not remember where I put my house keys?), I am willing to see if I can get "Hitler's War" from the library and check it if you are still interested.

Yes, he might have changed his mind.

I did find "Hitler's War" on the net. See www.fpp.co.uk/books/Hitler/2001/HW_Web_dl.pdf. Haven't found what I am looking for yet as the book is over 1000 pages but take a look around pages 495-500.
