War, War, War See other War, War, War Articles Title: Dubious Report Alleges Russia Supplies Hezbollah with Heavy Weapons Dubious Report Alleges Russia Supplies Hezbollah with Heavy Weapons by Stephen Lendman Haaretz reported it, citing The Daily Beast as its source, a disreputable instrument of US propaganda - notoriously substituting managed news misinformation for hard truths. “Russia is providing major supplies of arms to the Lebanese-based Hezbollah group in the course of military support that both the Russians and Hezbollah are providing the regime of Syrian President Bashar Assad,” said Haaretz. “The arms include precision ground-to-ground missiles,” laser-guided rockets and anti-tank missiles “with no strings attached,” citing Daily Beast propagandist Jesse Rosenfeld. Hezbollah is a legitimate part of Lebanon’s government, well known for providing vital social services. It’s committed to defend its country against naked Israeli aggression, responsibly aiding Assad in combating US-supported ISIS and other terrorist groups. Washington and Tel Aviv wrongfully call it a terrorist organization, a designation applied to enemies of their imperial ruthlessness. Syria is Obama’s war, launched in March 2011, using ISIS and other takfiri terrorists as imperial foot soldiers, imported from scores of countries. There’s nothing civil about war in Syria, not with US proxies waging it. The vast majority of Syrians deplore violence and chaos, fundamentally against elements perpetrating them, overwhelmingly supporting Assad’s efforts against them. Syrians are victims of US imperial ruthlessness. Putin continues going all-out to resolve conflict diplomatically - impossible because Obama wants war, not peace. He wants Syrian transformed into another regional US vassal state, removing a key Israeli rival, isolating Iran. Its turn awaits. Longstanding war plans targeting the Islamic Republic could be implemented any time, especially if a Republican hardliner or Hillary Clinton succeeds Obama. Peace and stability are anathema to Washington’s agenda. Endless violence and chaos serve it. Millions of corpses attest to its barbarity. Stephen Lendman lives in Chicago.
