Cops: Sarah Palin's Son Track, 26, is Arrested on Domestic Abuse Charges

Track Palin, the son of Sarah Palin, has been arrested on domestic violence charges in the family's home state of Alaska, according to several reports that surfaced late Tuesday.
The revelation came as his mom stumped with billionaire GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump in Iowa. She garnered great attention after endorsing the controversial White House hopeful Tuesday evening.

Things weren't so great on the home front, however, as news spread that Track Palin, 26, had been arrested Monday night at his mother's home in Wasilla.
“An investigation revealed Track Palin had committed a domestic violence assault on a female, interfered with her ability to report a crime of domestic violence, and possessed a firearm while intoxicated,” the Wasilla Police Department said in a statement.
The department declined further comment and referred reporters to online court documents.
According to a criminal complaint filed in the case, police responded to a 911 call placed by a woman who said she had been punched in the face at the Palin home, according to Alaska Dispatch News.
The unindentified woman and Palin had been arguing most of the evening, they told police, according to the news site. Palin alleged the woman had elbowed him and she claimed Palin had punched her and kicked her, police said in arrest documents.
Palin also pointed a gun toward his face and said "Do you think I won't do it?" the woman told police, according to the documents, the site said.

"Due to Palin's escalating hostility, the unknown whereabouts of the 911 caller, and officer safety, Palin was placed into handcuffs," the responding officer wrote in an arrest report, the news site reported.
Palin had a blood-alcohol level of .189, according to an affidavit based on a breath test, the site said.
He was arraigned Tuesday on the misdemeanor charges. It was not clear whether Track Palin had retained an attorney.
