The whole world knows Iran threatens no one. It hasn’t attacked another country in centuries. It fosters regional peace and stability. It urges mutual cooperation among all nations. It wants a world free from the scourge of nuclear weapons. It opposes ISIS and other terrorist groups. Israel is a menacing rogue state, viciously persecuting Palestinians, murdering and brutalizing them daily, suffocating Gazans, bombing Syria at its discretion, shelling Lebanese border areas, supporting regional terrorism, providing ISIS with weapons and munitions, treating its wounded fighters in its hospitals, endangering world peace. Democracy is pure fantasy. Fascists run things. Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon is notoriously hardline, viciously racist, an unindicted war criminal. He lied about Iran’s nonexistent nuclear weapons ambitions and “terror infrastructure,” calling the Islamic Republic Israel’s “main enemy,” ludicrously claiming it’s a greater threat than ISIS. He turned truth on its head, saying Tehran “is a rogue regime with designs on regional hegemony. Hezbollah is Iran's proxy with the ability to declare war.” “Iran currently has a terror infrastructure in place in five continents: Asia, Africa, Europe and both in South and North America.” “(I)f the choice is between Iran and the Islamic State, I choose the Islamic State…Our greatest enemy is” Iran. (It) declared war on us…(M)ost terrorists in the world today are Muslims.” Big Lies have a life of their own. Endless repetition gets most people to believe them. No evidence exists suggests Iran threatens Israel or any other nation. Plenty shows it fosters peace and stability. Former Mossad chief Meir Dagan earlier said Israel faces no existential threat. Last weekend, retiring Mossad chief Tamir Pardo stressed it, saying “(e)veryone knows that Israel is a very strong nation. This is no longer a time when Israel, as a young state, is forced to deal with existential fears.” Western nations, Russia, China and others hailed last year’s Iran nuclear deal. Ya’alon lied, claiming it “pushed back the clock from three months to one year…(Iran) can breakout and produce a bomb even faster.” Israel is nuclear armed and dangerous. Its arsenal includes deadly illegal chemical and biological weapons, used along with radiological and other terror weapons when waging wars, deliberately slaughtering civilians.
