See Why Obama’s Asking Hotels To See How Many Condoms You Have

Ever since Obama took office our freedoms have begun to evaporate.

First it was the confirmation of his extensive spying program which was implemented (and not stopped) under the auspices of preventing terrorism.

Then there’s what he’s trying to do with our second amendment, you know, adding new, unconstitutional restrictions on who can own a gun.

And now there’s what his DHS is doing in order to prevent sex-trafficking.

This includes asking hotel staff to see how many condoms you use and whether or not you have sex-toys in your luggage.

Reason.com reports:

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) continues to pour time and taxpayer money into convincing the American people that there’s an epidemic of sex trafficking here. So bad is this alleged epidemic that ordinary crime-control measures won’t work, hence the deparment is recruiting truck drivers and hotel workers to be its eyes and ears on the ground. Ugh.

Despite federal fearmongering, there’s no concrete evidence to suggest that sex trafficking is even prevalent in America, let alone on the rise. But you would never know that from listening to lawmakers, federal officials, and their local-media mouthpieces talk. And while some of this propaganda stems from good intentions, it also provides good fodder for all manner of civil-liberties abuses, from seizing sex-business assets to expanding police wiretapping power. Now it’s providing law enforcement with cover to convince citizens to spy on each other and report one another to police for perfectly normal activity.

“We would rather have you call anybody and report it to somebody,” a DHS spokeswoman told 9News Colorado, “even if it turns out to be nothing, than miss one of those victims that’s suffering.”

That’s why, as part of the “Safe Action Project,” DHS staff will train hotel and hospitality workers on how to spot the so-called signs of sex trafficking. Alleged “red flags” include:

garbage cans containing many used condoms

frequent use of “Do Not Disturb” sign on room door

excessive foot traffic in and out of a room

“excessive sex paraphernalia” in room

an “overly smelly room” that reeks of “cigarette, marijuana, sweat, bodily fluids, and musk”

a guest who “averts eyes or does not make eye contact”

individuals “dressed inappropriate for age” or with “lower quality clothing than companions”

guests with “suspicious tattoos”

the presence of multiple computers, cell phones, pagers, credit card swipes, or other technology

the presence of photography equipment

minibar in need of frequent restocking

guests with too many personal hygiene products, especially “lubrication, douches”

guests with too few personal possessions

rooms paid for with cash or a rechargeable credit card

“individuals loitering and soliciting male customers”

“claims of being an adult though appearance suggests adolescent features”

refusal of room cleaning services for multiple days

Take heed, lovers on romantic getaways, photographers on assignment, beauty-product junkies, tech workers, cash carriers, alcoholics, late sleepers, slobs, immodest dressers, people on the autism spectrum, people with body-odor problems, single patrons seeking hotel-bar hookups, light packers, and those with a youthful appearance: DHS is onto you!

Meanwhile, in California, the Attorney General’s office, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of California, and an organization called Truckers Against Trafficking have been teaming up to train truck drivers on how to identify and report suspected sex traffickers. The program essentially urges truckers to report people offering prostitution at truck stops, making sure to include “actionable information” such as a physical descriptions of the individual, car make and model, license plate number, etc.

“Given the cross-jurisdictional nature of the crime of human trafficking and the use of major thoroughfares by traffickers, truck drivers are particularly well-positioned to aid law enforcement,” states a press release from California Attorney General Kamala D. Harris. The training “will also feature The Freedom Drivers Project, a first-of-its-kind 48-foot mobile exhibit that includes artifacts from trafficking cases, portraits of Truckers Against Trafficking members, and ways members of the public can join the fight against human trafficking.”

Are we free or are we not free?

That’s the question you should be asking yourself after reading this.

We have no right to personal privacy anymore. If you feel like having an intimate conversation with your spouse the NSA has the ability to listen to an explicit conversation without repercussions. Want to have protected sex in a hotel, you’re now a suspect.

To prevent more crime, they’re inciting hotel staff to go through your personal belongings, which is obviously a violation of our fourth amendment rights.

It’s both outrageous and deplorable this is acceptable in the freest country on earth.

How do you feel about this invasion of privacy?

Tell us below.

In spite of the stupid movies, sex trafficking in the USA is almost non-existent for a number of reasons. First, it involves kidnapping; a major crime that gets the FBI involved. Second, it is impossible to recruit an adequate number of customers without the police knowing about it and some of the customers tipping off the police after one of the girls pleads with a customer to help her. Third, the cost and risk would be prohibitive.

They would have to hire guards 24/7 which would be far more expensive than paying willing women a percentage and willing women don't complain, nor are they kidnapped. And, if a kidnapped girl asked a guy to take her out or to his home; a few, including some with a permit to carry, would do it and any guard attempting to stop him would risk getting shot. And, if they injured or killed customers, the risk would greatly increase and other customers would avoid the danger and find other sources so the business would lose most of their income.

Basically it is cheaper to pay willing women a percentage than to hire guards 24/7. And, there is forty times less risk because they would not be committing major felonies such as kidnapping. That is, it is better to pay a fine, than to go to prison for 20 years.

Truly a "midnight basketball" scheme for the 21st century. If they want to stop forced prostitution, they can close our borders and stop funding Izrul. That'll take it quite a distance!

This is the office of homeland security, Berry does not know what the hell is going on. BTW: I do not think that berry knows what a condom is.

I noticed this in the article. I was a trucker for years and believe me I doubt there are any truckers out there that would go along with this sort of thing, except maybe the Christian fundamentalist truckers.

One thing you learn pretty quick about truck stops is if there are any women hanging around, chances are they are lot lizards. ;)

It may not be possible to eliminate prostitution since a large number of women are willing and even eager to trade sex for money especially if they are attracted to the guy. And, because it comes in so many different forms such as sugar babies and girls that will move in with an attractive guy if he supports them.

I believe trafficking is near impossible in the USA except after capturing girls and, before selling them for sex, getting them hooked on drugs or keeping them in captivity and mistreating them until they develop the Stockholm syndrome, or capture- bonding, which is a psychological phenomenon in which hostages express empathy and sympathy and have positive feelings toward their captors and even defend their captors. At that point, if trading sex for money, in theory the girls could leave and have their captors arrested but likely would be unwilling to.

I think Barry just has a thing for condoms. Understand he wears them on his fingers around the house and sips cordials from them whil muttering fervent inanities about safe sex.

You know, when I drove team cross country, my co-drivers were usually married and they would put a "No Lot Lizards" sticker on the driver side vent window. It showed a lizard wearing lipstick, smoking a cigarette, with a circle slash thru it. They didn't care, they would still knock on the door. :-/
