What Rubio Just Said About Illegal Immigrants Could Spell the END of His Campaign

GOP presidential hopeful Marco Rubio has been trying to live down his disastrous association with the ‘Gang of Eight’ and their ill-conceived ‘comprehensive immigration plan’ that would have rewarded millions of illegal aliens who crossed the border in violation of our laws with U.S. citizenship.

At times, Rubio has said that he learned his lesson on illegal immigration, but then on other occasions he makes it clear that he still supports a path to citizenship for those who have broken our laws repeatedly.

But Rubio’s latest statement could mean the end of his presidential dreams.

According to Politico,

Sen. Marco Rubio says people who immigrated to the U.S. illegally but haven’t committed any major crimes could be allowed to stay.

In an interview airing Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” the Florida contender for the Republican presidential nomination said felons shouldn’t be allowed to stay, but those who commit lesser crimes could still qualify. In this interview, he didn’t specify whether those allowed to stay would ever be able to become citizens.

“If you’re a criminal alien, no, you can’t stay. If you’re someone that hasn’t been here for a very long time, you can’t stay,” he said. “I don’t think you’re gonna round up and deport 12 million people.”

“If circumstances change or you learn something along the way, it’s reasonable to say, ‘Maybe a different approach will work better,’” Rubio said. “So, for example, on immigration it is clear no comprehensive solution to immigration is going to pass.”

So, it seems that Rubio has not learned his lesson when it comes to how the American people feel about illegal immigration, after all.

What do you think? If there were a President Rubio in office, do you think we’d see more of the same unconstitutional executive actions when it comes to illegal aliens?

Here is a video of an interview where Rubio advocates giving illegal aliens in-state college tuition.

Poster Comment:

I don't think they will round up and deport 12 million illegals. If they are here and they are working, they MUST have a Social Security Number. Now these illegals have become a part of the system. Now the government is using them and their identity and all of their production as collateral on the massive debt piled up under the current administration. Believe me when I tell you that this is true.

If you are here illegally, you are a criminal. There is not 12 million here, more like 40 million. This government could round up all the people here illegally and head them back across the border, then seal the borders for 10 years.

His chutzpah is brazen!

We the people want to hear about stopping the invasion, but these wetback candied dates' minds are on something quite "other".

I hate him, hate him, hate him. Somebody out there please hate him with me, even if you don't say so :-)

Not if they are working off the books.
