Michael Bloomberg Says He Plans to Spend $1 Billion On This Frightening New Plan

You know Michael Bloomberg, you know his politics, you know his anti-gun activity too.

What you might not know is he harbors presidential aspirations. Bloomberg has just announced to his inner staff he wants to launch a bid to run for the Presidency so he can stamp out the second amendment once and for all.

Yahoo News writes:

Michael Bloomberg, the billionaire former mayor of New York City, has told his aides to draw up plans for an independent campaign for the U.S. presidency, according to a source familiar with the situation.

Bloomberg has advised friends and associates that he would be willing to spend at least $1 billion of his own money on a campaign for the November 2016 election, according to the source, who spoke on condition on anonymity to discuss the former mayor’s thinking.

News of Bloomberg mulling a presidential run was first reported Saturday by the New York Times.

Bloomberg, 73, has given himself an early March deadline for entering the race, the source said, after commissioning a poll in December to see how he would fare against Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, the Republican and Democratic frontrunners.

Part of Bloomberg’s motivation to enter the race stems from a frustration with Clinton’s campaign, the source said. Clinton has been dogged by questions about her honesty amid an ongoing investigation into her use of a private email server as secretary of state.

Sanders, Clinton’s chief rival, has recently surged in polling in key early voting states Iowa and New Hampshire. That development has made Bloomberg increasingly worried about a general election between Sanders, a self-described socialist, and Trump or Cruz, both of whom have staked out far-right positions on issues like immigration.

At the New Hampshire Republican Party “First in the Nation Presidential Town Hall” in Nashua, Senator Rand Paul, who is lagging badly in opinion polls, seemed unfazed by the possibility of a Bloomberg third-party run. He even saw a bright side for his party.

“If he splits the Democrat vote – those for gun control – that might be good for Republicans,” Paul told reporters.

While the prospect of having Bloomberg as President is anything but appealing, the idea his running could split the liberal vote certainly does have its upsides.

Rand Paul pointed out if he actually mounted a successful third party campaign it could solidify the chances of a pro-gun Republican nabbing the top seat.

Bloomberg, like many other liberals who don’t like guns, is only trying to eliminate private gun ownership so he and his cronies can solidify more power into his own hands.

Do you think he’ll actually follow through with his plans?

Bloomberg is a little late to throw his hat in the ring. Let him spend his money.

What, simply because someone's not foolish enough to like trump means that they're even more idiotic to like Bloomberg?

Seriously?

As a former New Yawker that understands New York politics, the voters are smart enough to not like Trump because he just might change the course of this country.

We cannot have that.

Instead the wise ones will go with the known horse. Only the dull masses are willing to take a chance, to change the rotten government we have now.

I cut my teeth on NY politics for 30 years. No stranger here.

Pataki won for one simple reason, he promised to raise the speed limit to 65 when Cuomo refused. That was palpable to everyone.

Either way, the voters in the presidential elections are irrelevant. It's been testified under oath and on record that electronic voting machines can easily be rigged to whatever results they want long before and regardless of the "results" of actual elections.

The voters do not decide, the establishment does.

I agree. It remains to be seen what Trump will do if he is fated to be Ron Paul'ed by the establishment GOP. Ron Paul knew that he was cheated and he said nothing. I don't think Trump will go away should that happen. It would be a good thing if he were to illuminate vote rigging.

NYC politics is NY politics.

Anyone that would ask that doesn't understand that.

I think you missed the point.

I don't understand why Trump is heralded by so many.

The two single biggest issues of our nation, among many other prominent ones, are the economy which has been ravaged by foreigners that own the Fed, and our entitlement sense of "empire."

Trump is HUGE on both. He's not for auditing the Fed. He's not for ridding us of our bogus fiat money system. He's not for mitigating the military, in fact, to the contrary. He's not against supporting the global core of anti-Christian horror, in fact, he's fully supportive of it.

What amazes me is how so many people, particularly here, claim to "get it," but then continue to be repeatedly duped every four years. Honestly ... Really?!

I can understand the mainstream thinking like that, but here?!
