Some key excerpts from this spot-on piece, Donald Trump: The Establishment Candidate;

The media are his best allies.

...

The frightened masses are flocking to this decisive leader believing that he will protect and take care of them.

Trump’s agreement with the current establishment is never mentioned and he is never heard attacking the following policies, the Federal Reserve monetary policies, the welfare for rich and poor, the federal government’s involvement in education, foreign interventionism, concerns about blowback and motives for terrorist attacks against us, deficits and debt, foreign aid, monopoly control of the political process by a coalition of Republicans and Democrats, controls on internet privacy, loss of state sovereignty, international government agencies, executive orders and legislation by the executive branch.

Trump’s notoriety comes from his aggressive nature and his personal attacks on individuals as well as groups, along with his bold proposals to violate civil liberties. He never abdicates ideological position, but portrays himself as a strong efficient boss for the people. He forcefully promotes an authoritarian type of government.

...

It’s great entertainment, a money maker for the media and Trump is in his glory, but the fact that the Trump campaign does not challenge the philosophic backbone of the current system means nothing much will change.

...

To stop Trump now from becoming the manager of the establishment and the manipulator of the status quo, the current hiding in the wizard must be pulled back and his bluff be called. He is the same old, same old megaphone supported by a frightened electorate. I suspect someone someday will expose his bluster for what it is. It is disturbing that so many cling to his diatribes and personal insults, but what I am much more concerned about is what he doesn’t say. Bullies are vulnerable, they are insecure and compensate with noise or violence. Trump compensates with noise and many have succumbed to the fear generated by our leaders and rally to the wizard and his tough talk. No, he is a shield for the philosophy of the establishment that he mocks.

Whether Trump has a political victory or not he will have done a lot to institutionalize the current beliefs that drive our economy and political system. His demagoguery is becoming mainstream and politically acceptable by many who already accept the outrageous anti-liberty beliefs he espouses. Only ideas can derail Trump. Demagogic attacks will not help, they will increase his stature with the supports and serve to add more. His philosophy of government is the philosophy that has driven us to the economic calamity we face. Along with the foreign policy that generates hatred and terrorism against us. When it comes to competing with the philosophy of the current status quo, Trump is an empty suit. The people are desperate to bring about real change and they cling to the hope that Trump is the answer to our dilemma.

His simplified speech is this: I am Donald Trump, I will take care of you, I am the boss, I will tell you what to do, trust me. There is never a mention of liberty. For a true revolution to occur to challenge the current system we need a leader to offer liberty as a solution, not someone sacrificing it for safety and security and a people ready to accept the responsibility of living in a free society.

RP nails this better and more succinctly that I would have. He's spot on. If we, while armed with what we here know, cannot see through this Trump charade, then sorry, but we have yielded any moral right whatsoever to criticize anyone else in this topic area. That's just the brutal truth!

I voted for Ron Paul even though I thought he was an idiot. I also voted for Ralph Nader. I would not want to see either one as President. I voted for them because they were anti-war. I want to end the FED but what RP wants would destroy the world because he could starve a billion people to death. At least Nader supports a Debt Free money like Lincoln'e Greenbacks.

Libertarian ideas are rubbish when it comes to stopping a Depression. A Depression is a period in time when Unpayable Debts are cancelled en masse. That means you will have a massive contraction in the money supply since we have a Debt Based money.

The only painless way out of a Depression is to combine Debt Cancellation with the creation of a Debt Free money like Lincoln's Greenbacks and a ban on fractional reserve banking. Not one Presidential candidate understands this. I am hoping that the US military decides to arrest the Bankers and seize their assets when the voters demand martial law.

Well good luck with that, particularly if Trump is POTUS, which he won't be anyway. Hillary's the (s)electee. Too much on her to even make a fuss when she opens those envelopes on her desk for instructions every morning.

The true wisdom on Trump is that Americans are tired, and sick to death, of career politicians and welcome someone who is not of that ilk and who offers a real change in this country.

It's really that simple.

It's a shame Paul retired. Why, with the redistricting he could've spread the message of liberty to *all* Americans, not just white ones.

1) Hillary is too sick to run.

2) Trump made General Michael Kelly, the former head of the DIA, his chief military and foreign affairs adviser. That action speaks louder than all the words of all the major party candidates since Reagan. Kelly is the one who said Obama created ISIS. Trump is being baited to come down to the level of the crowds. The crowds are always wrong

3) What I said about ten million Americans starving to death if we do not arrest the Bankers is the reality we face. What I would like is or the US military to stage a coup when they are asked to put the country under martial law.

4) I prefer Trump. Neither Rubio nor Cruz are qualified constitutionally to run for President. Neither is a natural born citizen.

A Depression is a period when Debts are cancelled. Letting things handle themselves is how 3 million Americans starved to death in the 1930s when we had less than 125 million people. You cancel debts by Hyperinlfation (Germany 1923) and by bankruptcy and foreclosure (America 1933). Or you can do what the Babylonians did which was to cancel Unpayable Debts. We can arrest the Bankers, seize their assets and use that to pay off Unpayable Debts. Every adult citizen gets $20,000 to either pay off debts or to supplement their retirement funds. Married couples get $40,000. Babylonians did that for thousands of years starting with ancient Sumer.

Malinvestments were created by fractional reserve banking. You need to ban fractional reserve banking.

Sorry, but you and those that actually support Trump as anything other than business-as-usual have morally forfeited any right to gripe about the masses doing the same with/on all other topics if you cannot see beyond the simple-mindedness that is Trump.

Sorry, it is what it is apart from any of my opinions.

I do find it highly disturbing however, particularly since there is very little objectively and almost pure emotion going into his support here.

I'm flabbergasted.
