The London-based, Western-funded, anti-Syrian propaganda-generating misnamed Syrian Observatory for Human Rights wrongfully claimed airstrikes targeted rebels in Aleppo province. It reported 14 ceasefire breaches on Saturday alone, adding its unable to account for all violations. It reports what its Western paymasters dictate. French and Saudi foreign ministers conspired against Moscow and Damascus, falsely accusing both governments of ceasefire violations. An unnamed representative from Riyadhs cobbled together so-called High Negotiations Committee (HNC), comprised entirely of anti-Assad extremist groups, said ceasefire is in danger of collapsing barely 48 hours after its implementation. The Wall Street Journal blamed Syria and Russia of stepp(ing) up airstrikes on opposition-held territory (held) largely by (nonexistent moderate) rebels, conditionally agreeing to ceasefire terms. They fear the airstrikes will be used to attack them under the guise of striking the extremists, said the Journal. All anti-government elements are US-supported cutthroat killers. Some partially agreed to the ceasefire terms. Others rejected it. Moscow and Damascus announced cessation of hostilities in areas held by anti-government forces agreeing to halt further fighting. No credible evidence suggests they reneged on their pledge. Claims otherwise are vicious anti-Assad/anti-Russian Western and rogue Arab states propaganda. Syria and Russia want hostilities ended and conflict resolution efforts initiated. Washington, Israel, Turkey and Saudi Arabia want war, not peace. So do their Western and regional allies. Resolving conflict diplomatically is unachievable. Eliminating anti-government terrorists is the only chance for a durable ceasefire, peace and preserving Syrian sovereignty.
