War, War, War See other War, War, War Articles Title: US and Israel Call the Shots on Syria US and Israel Call the Shots on Syria by Stephen Lendman Other anti-Assad nations play supporting roles. America and Israel are lead players. Both countries jointly planned, orchestrated and implemented early 2011 destabilizing demonstrations, Obama’s pretext for war, raging with no end in sight after nearly five years. US/Russia brokered cessation of hostilities changed nothing fundamental on the ground. All anti- government forces are terrorists, imported from scores of regional, Western and other countries. No so-called moderate rebels exist, one of many media scoundrel-proliferated Big Lies, part of Washington’s orchestrated propaganda campaign. Most Americans, Europeans, Israelis and others are none the wiser - lied to by their governments and media, uninformed, out-of-touch and indifferent about a hugely important geopolitical conflict. Syria was invaded. War won’t end until terrorism is defeated. As long as US-led foreign support continues, Syrian sovereignty remains jeopardized. Washington and Israel remain committed to regime change. So do Britain, France, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and their other rogue allies. They thrive on endless violence, chaos, fear-mongering, state-sponsored terror, and blaming others for their high crimes. Less than 48 hours into brokered cessation of hostilities, Moscow and Damascus were falsely accused of multiple violations. On Monday, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov dismissed baseless charges, saying: “We investigate such reports. I have to tell you that as of today, there is no truth to” them. “We believe that instead of using unsuitable means to try and blame Russia for the fragility of the current ceasefire,” Washington “should urge” its anti-Assad allies “to be more careful at this time.” Putin and Assad know liberating Syria and preserving its sovereignty involve a long, committed struggle, perhaps continuing for years. America doesn’t wage naked aggression to quit. All its post-9/11 wars continue endlessly, resolution illusive in all its conflict theaters.
