Illegal Immigrants Will Be Hired As TEACHERS In This New State Plan! And That’s Not All…

Some illegal immigrants may soon be certified to work as public school teachers in New York State according to a recently released plan.

After years of liberals telling us how poor immigrants are just doing jobs American citizens refuse to do, I wonder how they will explain this one.

Teachers in New York State are among the highest paid in the world and these positions can receive hundreds of applicants.

Fox News has more:

New York education officials are defending a hotly debated plan to allow illegal immigrants to be certified as public school teachers.

Saying the district doesn’t want to “close the door on their dreams,” state Education Commissioner MaryEllen Elia explained those eligible for the teaching certification came to America as children.

“They are American in every way but immigration status,” said Elia. “They’ve done everything right. They’ve worked hard in school, some have even served in the military, but when it’s time to apply for a license, they’re told, ‘Stop. That’s far enough.’”

In addition to allowing illegals to compete with high paying unionized state teaching jobs the new plan screws over other high paying licensed professions too!

Fox News continues:

The regents oversee 3.2 million students in 700 school districts as well as 7,000 libraries, 900 museums and 52 professions requiring more than 850,000 licensees. The controversial decision also enables the board to award licenses to illegal aliens in a total of 54 professions, including engineers, pharmacists and dentistry.

But the decision doesn’t sit well with many who believe the policy violates federal law and prevents lawful citizens from getting jobs they are qualified for.

“It is bad public policy,” said Hans von Spakovsky, senior legal fellow at the Washington D.C.-based Heritage Foundation, and a former U.S. Justice Department attorney. “It is a violation of federal immigration law.”

While it may in fact be a blatant violation of federal immigration law don’t expect Barack Obama to do anything about it. It’s Obama who is demanding that federal immigration law be ignored. Other states like Colorado are already recruiting illegal immigrants for teaching jobs and nothing is being done!!

We can only imagine what New York’s illegal immigrant teachers will be teaching students about the rule of law and the Constitution when the plan goes into effect this summer.

I went to Catholic schools in Chicago. My mother promised to raise any children as Catholic and she did, since my Dad was Lutheran.

This going on in New York State is proof positive that the country has gone bananas.

There are several High School kids that come in where I work and the help to unroll paper for a few bucks. This gets them into what it is like to work and have a routine to follow. Some of them have a lot of energy, as kids do at that age.

One of them was walking at a fast gait, and one of the guys said, "Little skinny kid, no running." He is no spring chicken either. When he walks, he pimps like a gang banger in Chicago. LOL

Getting kids working asap, and learning the direct correlation between honest work and bucks in their pocket is really key to their future. And if they can mix in a good education, they'll do fine in life. But they have to learn the work/dollar ratio early on to succeed.

I talked to one of the local truck drivers here today and he told me he brought in a bunch of the brackets that we rivet snap buttons to on Friday. This means we will likely see them at the shop Monday morning. Riveting is one of the best paying jobs they have. That and welding. I do both, but no welding lately. If I wasn't doing that, I might be in back in baling, which pays fairly well. They were riveting slide locks on "boomerangs" a while back but haven't seen them in a long time. This stuff is all for display purposes at Wal-Mart. The work/dollar ratio is good on riveting and welding. ;)

I'm just glad that you're up, around, and working of any sort; it has to beat the nursing home.

it has to beat the nursing home.

When I was in there, they had a scabies infestation. One woman was calling them "chiggers". I said, "No, they're not chiggers." These critters jump from one person to another. They put lotion all over me and washed it off to get rid of them. Not to mention they stole me blind when I was in there, even my I.D.

I am finally eligible to reinstate my CDL and I am seriously thinking of going trucking again. Doctor says I should give it up for my health, but I think I can still do it. Just regional since cross country is too hard. ;)

I'm not an occupational therapist (and there is no charge), but I'd say do whatever work you like to do and are able to do.
