Once again, my Chase Visa credit card has been compromised. This makes the third time in less than three years. No, I didn't lose the card. The first two times, Chase security called me to ask me if I'd made weird purchases (the last one was $1,000 in concert tickets somewhere on the East coast, don't remember the first).

I was looking at my accounts online this morning when I saw a $19.95 charge to PEOPLEFINDERS in California posted on Sunday Mar 6, 2016. I asked Marla if she'd used it and the answer was no.

Only thing I can figure out is that someone scanned my card through my wallet (the last card had the dammned RFID chip).

Cashless society is gonna suck shit in hell.

Had you been going through any public transit areas?

Airports?

No.

Another easy, easy way for CC theft is to hand your credit card to a waiter at a restaurant or in a fast food drive through.

All the info is there: card#, exp. date., and the pin# on the back of the card.

They take photos of it with their cell phones behind the wall, then wait a week or more to use it, and by then you forgot where you ate at.

Nope, none of those either. It's got me concerned about the security because the card never leaves my hands, and very seldom my wallet.

Funny thing, I was checking the statement this morning and it's showing the charge has been removed. TWICE. Sheesh, bankers.

Hell, I'm $19.95 ahead! I should get a lottery ticket.
