Could This Spell The End of Trumps Presidential Bid?

Donald Trump is riding high after recent primary returns, and many Americans desperately want to see him win.
But others have different plans for Mr. Trump, among them Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell who reportedly has it in for Trump and his candidacy. The Blaze notes,
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell reportedly told colleagues they will drop GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump like a hot rock.
McConnell reassured Republican members of the upper chamber they could run negative ads against Trump if he becomes the nominee and it threatens their re-election, reports The New York Times.
Additionally, McConnell told Republican senators during the members weekly lunch that the potential of Trump losing to Hillary Clinton is a given and it is best to describe to voters that a Republican Senate is a necessary check to a Clinton presidency.
Sounds like McConnell has real concerns about Trump being a front runner and what that means for Republican Party hopes for the White House come November.
Of course, Trump, never one to miss a scuffle, had a reply, though a surprising one. He actually referred to the loyalty pledge that he signed to support whoever wins the Republican candidacy and not run as a third party. But, then, he said,
The pledge is a two-way street, and if its not that way theyre going to have a problem, a big problem with me.
That actually sounds to me like he is threatening to go third party if he the Republican establishment attacks him and tries to sink his candidacy.
This it turning into one of the most colorful election seasons in recent years, and there is a long way to go. Buckle up and get ready for the fun.
What do you think about McConnells comments and Trumps response?
