Trumps Startling Threat to House Speaker Paul Ryan
Donald Trump is a feather ruffler; theres no doubt about that. He says what he thinks, and hes not afraid of what the consequences may be.
Thats part of the reason why voters like him so much. Theyre tired of the average politician who calculates each and every word for maximum persuasion and political correctness. Trump doesnt bend over, worry about political correctness, or kiss any of the establishment members rings, and that makes him a stand out candidate for a lot of voters.
He does still go a little too far every once in a while though.
His most recent misstep involves Republican House Speaker Paul Ryan. Trump made statements indicating that if Ryan doesnt go along with his plan (should Trump become president) then hell be in for some serious trouble.
The Blaze has Trumps exact words:
Republican front-runner Donald Trump threatened House Speaker Paul Ryan during his Super Tuesday press conference, saying the Wisconsin Republican would pay a big price if he refused to get along with him as president.
Paul Ryan, I dont know him well, but Im sure Im going to get along great with him, Trump said. And if I dont? Hes gonna have to pay a big price, OK?
The billionaire was responding to comments Ryan made earlier in the day when he said any nominee of the Republican Party should be quick to condemn racist groups, a reference to Trumps refusal to disavow himself from the KKK on a Sunday program (he later did so).
A spokesperson for Ryans office declined to comment to TheBlaze on Trumps threat Tuesday night.
As much as voters like Trumps tough, no-BS attitude, this might have been a tad bit much. Trump is forgetting that he cant make enemies out of the entire party if he really wants the nomination.
