Resistance See other Resistance Articles Title: The Media Is The Enemy The Media Is The Enemy by James Edwards Jared Taylor, editor of American Renaissance, made the following remark when I asked him to comment on the preposterous attacks that the media manufactured and launched against yours truly last week, “They (the media) came down on you about as heavily as I’ve ever seen them come down on anybody and, I must say, you handled it impeccably. You never flinched, you never turned back and you never apologized because, of course, you had nothing to apologize for. This absurd smear made news around the globe, appearing in publications in such places as Canada, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Nigeria, Pakistan, and elsewhere. The nonsense was hardly confined to print, with anchors lining up to take their free shots at me on CNN, MSNBC, and countless radio shows. Naturally, I wasn’t invited to offer a response. They’re very brave to broadcast a one-sided argument. As for the libelous and slanderous accusations that I am a “Slavery-Loving White Supremacist?” Well, that’s so over-the-top it even sounds ridiculous. Even so, I set the record straight in this article, which also explains how my interview with Donald Trump Jr. came to be. For those interested in knowing who and what I really am, please click here. If they spent enough time to go all the way back to find an obscure blurb that I posted in 2008 (during which I simply agree with a black writer that the descendants of slaves enjoy a better life in America today than their counterparts in Africa) in order to conjure up the “pro-slavery” lie, then they undoubtedly passed over thousands of other articles where I explain my beliefs in detail and also make numerous mentions about my faith and family. No reasonable person could listen to my radio program or review the content on my website and come away with the impression that we “hate” other people simply because we are proud of our cultural heritage and wish to preserve that which makes our people unique. The double standard that they employ is stupefying. When non-whites take pride in who they are it’s great! When whites do it, it’s “hate.” We very carefully and very responsibly put forth our heartfelt concerns and stand by every comment we’ve made when taken in proper context. We’ve done no wrong and feel confident that we are taking a righteous stand. The fact of the matter is that the media hates the truth. There is no truth in them. When someone hates the truth I can find no common ground with them. It is because of this reason that I posted a simple statement to our website last week and proceeded to place every single interview request that was sent to me directly into the trash. It has long been my policy to reject all interview requests unless it is live radio or television. I’d rather live in a leper colony for a week than speak to the lying and corrupt members of the so-called press for ten minutes. They are vile and they are beneath me. That said, it has been an exciting week that I wouldn’t trade for the world. What an honor to be able to show courage under fire and set an example, as Jared Taylor put it, for others to follow. It is in times like this that I fall back on the great advice given by Davy Crockett when he said, “Be always sure you’re right — THEN GO AHEAD!” My sincere appreciation goes out to all of you who have offered your prayers and encouraging words of support. Rest assured that we will never retreat, never surrender, and never apologize. You don’t catch flak unless you’re right over the target and we take pride in our ability to advance the positive notion of equal rights for all (even European Americans) and special privileges for none. The basic human rights for our people to have organizations and spokesmen advocating on our behalf and to be able to openly celebrate our history and heroes will not be called “hate” or “supremacy.” We shall overcome.
