Election Year Surprise: You Won’t Believe Who Just Got Busted! John Thomas | March 4, 2016 I admit it. I thought this was more likely to happen to Hillary than Bernie, but sometimes truth really is stranger than fiction (who else would have thought an open socialist would have gotten traction in a Presidential election?). What am I talking about? Bernie (unlike Hillary) has been running a campaign partially on the idea that he is honest and above-board on everything (another “most transparent administration” campaign?), yet he has been accused of violating campaign finance laws. Free Beacon writes, “Thousands of contributions to Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders’ campaign in January violated federal campaign finance laws, election regulators said on Thursday. “The Federal Election Commission sent a letter to the Democratic presidential candidate’s campaign committee on Thursday with a 90-page spreadsheet listing 3,457 ‘excessive, prohibited, and impermissible contributions.’ “The campaign’s January financial disclosure filing listed contributions from foreign nationals and unregistered political committees, the FEC said. Other contributions came from donors who exceeded the $2,700 per-election limit. “’Although the Commission may take further legal action concerning the acceptance of [excessive or prohibited] contributions, your prompt action to refund the prohibited amount will be taken into consideration,’ the FEC told the campaign.” (hat tip to here for the story) That’s right. Bernie got busted for violating the law and could face “further legal action.” If that were you or me, that would probably mean jail time. It’s Bernie, though. Let’s be honest: he is now a Washington insider, no matter what his populist stances to get elected would say. This means he probably won’t be touched, unless it helps Hillary, who we haven’t seen touched, no matter what she does. Still, this is making for an interesting turn of events in this election year full of surprises. Poster Comment: Busted and disgusted.

The demon bastards really, REALLY want Hellary. Boinie's prolly to stupid to fight this right, e.g. by appealing to The American People on the gross double standards/ selective prosecution/ Hellary getting off scot free as usual.
This is no big deal. Happens all the time. Any major candidate with thousands or millions of donors will have some donations with irregularities. Campaign staffers dutifully deposit the checks when they come in. FEC auditors catch the apparently nonconforming donations later, inform the candidate, then follow up, etc. No criminal charges will come from this.

I don't have any stats, but I do have a little experience with the system. And I know that Slick was never indicted for the million$ that the Red Chinese donated to him.
