Dead Constitution See other Dead Constitution Articles Title: Bashing Iran's Legitimate Missile Tests Bashing Iran’s Legitimate Missile Tests by Stephen Lendman America, other Western countries and Israel routinely test missiles, including ballistic ones, other weapons in their arsenals and ones they’re developing. No uproar claiming illegality follows, legitimate Iranian tests wrongfully called violations of last year’s nuclear deal. Earlier, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araqchi said Tehran’s “missile tests are by no means a violation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).” None of its missiles, including ballistic ones, are designed to carry nuclear warheads, Araqchi stressed. Their development, production and testing complies with Security Council Resolution 2231 provisions, addressing Tehran’s legal nuclear program - prohibiting Iranian missiles “designed to carry nuclear warheads.” US presidential aspirant Hillary Clinton called for new sanctions on Iran, an indication of her rogue agenda if elected in November. “Iran should face sanctions for these activities, and the international community must demonstrated that (nonexistent Iranian) threats toward Israel will not be tolerated.” John Kerry addressed the missile tests with his Iranian counterpart, Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif. According to his State Department spokesman admiral John Kirby, “(i)f they are confirmed, if they're true…we'll take up the appropriate action inside the UN.” “But I don't want to convey the impression that we are only looking at multilateral or UN possibilities in terms of measures to deal with it.” Netanyahu remains intractably hostile to Iran. His reaction didn’t surprise, demanding immediate punitive actions for what he irresponsibly called “ongoing and recurring violations” of its missiles program. He lied, calling punishing Iran “a test for world powers to enforce the nuclear agreement” - despite its entirely legal activities. Developing its military capability is vital for Iranian security. It faces major existential threats from Washington and Israel - both nations wanting its sovereignty replaced by puppet governance, the nation partitioned into easily controllable mini-states, its resources looted, its people exploited as serfs. Iran successfully defended its sovereign rights since its 1979 revolution - ending a generation of US installed fascist viciousness.
