(Maxim Shipenkov/Pool Photo via AP) Russia's President Vladimir Putin has hosted Israeli President Reuven Rivlin, hailing friendly ties between the two nations. While welcoming Rivlin in the Kremlin, Putin noted that nearly 1.5 million Israeli citizens have origins in Russia and other former Soviet nations, which helps drive Russia and Israel closer. The Russian president said he also expects to meet soon with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to discuss regional security issues. After Russia launched its air campaign in Syria on Sept. 30, it coordinated with Israel to prevent any possible incidents between Russian and Israeli militaries. Putin on Monday ordered the withdrawal of most Russian warplanes from Syria, voicing hope that it would contribute to the success of Syria peace talks in Geneva. For those not throwing up yet, this just in: 'Swiss America's national spokesperson Pat Boone was honored with a standing ovation from a packed crowd of 4,000 during his first ever concert in Tel Aviv recently. Pat, now 81, is well known for his strong support of Israel. Boone performed one of his most famous songs, This Land is Mine at the event, which formed the theme for the Academy Award-winning soundtrack for the movie EXODUS. Boone's performance in Tel Aviv was in support of the Friends of Zion Museum, the newest and most popular attraction in Jerusalem. He is shown greeting Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, a close friend of his for many years.' When's this disgusting phony gonna die -- what's taking him so long??? He's supposed to be much older than any 81!
