Israel/Zionism See other Israel/Zionism Articles Title: Netanyahu on Brussels Blasts Netanyahu on Brussels Blasts by Stephen Lendman He’s taking full advantage, linking what happened, attributed to ISIS despite no independently verified proof, to Palestinian resistance he falsely calls “terrorism.” He’s a rogue head of state, an unindicted war criminal, a regional menace, allied with Washington a threat to world peace, a serial liar repeatedly exposed. “I already said many times that terrorism is caused not by occupation and despair, but by hope - the hope of the Islamic State terrorists to establish an Islamic caliphate in all of Europe (and) the hope of Palestinian terrorists that they will succeed in establishing a Palestinian state in the entire territory of the State of Israel,” he blustered. “If there is one people who know what they are going through it is the people of Israel, who have been bravely and courageously fighting against terrorist attacks for many years.” “We’re in a global war against terror. It’s a war of the civilized word versus the sons of darkness. Terrorism strikes everywhere.” “Nothing justifies terrorism, absolutely nothing…Israel stands ready to cooperate with all the nations in this great struggle.” “These terrorists seek our destruction, but they will fail. But if we work together they will fail a lot sooner.” His remarks make painful listening, the rantings of a rogue leader, threatening Jews and non-Jews alike. Fact: Individual terrorist acts pale compared to state-sponsored ones - Washington and Israel the world’s leading perpetrators. Fact: Palestinians resisting Israeli tyranny are courageous freedom fighters, deserving universal support. Fact: They’re willing to settle for 22% of historic Palestine for a sovereign state, not the entire state of Israel - unattainable without dismantling Israeli settlements on over 60% of West Bank land not forthcoming. Fact: Israel doesn’t “courageously” fight terrorism. It instigates it regionally and beyond, collectively punishing the entire Palestinian population and its own Arab citizens for not being Jews. Fact: It rejects peace and stability, anathema to its imperial agenda, wanting the Middle East map redrawn, eliminating Syrian and Iranian sovereign independence, other challenges to its regional dominance, waging longstanding slow-motion genocide against millions of Palestinians.
