Israel/Zionism See other Israel/Zionism Articles Title: Israeli State Terror Aims to Incite, not Curb, Resistance Israeli State Terror Aims to Incite, not Curb Resistance by Stephen Lendman Israeli/Palestinian peaceful coexistence is as simple as ending illegal occupation and ruthless persecution, along with affording Muslim citizens the same rights as Jews. Peace defeats Israel’s agenda. Violence and viciousness serve it. Collective punishment isn’t by chance. It was planned long ago for a state with maximum Jews and minimum Arabs, remaining ones exploited for their cheap labor, their fundamental rights denied. Resistance against oppression is a fundamental human right, affirmed under international law. Israel unjustifiably calls it terrorism or incitement to violence. It wants historic Palestine cleansed of its Arab residents, legally entitled to the land they own and have lived on for centuries. Netanyahu exceeds the worst of Sharonian evil, extrajudicially executing defenseless Palestinians daily - over 210 since last October 1, injuring many thousands, imprisoning countless numbers, kidnapping dozens of men, women and children weekly for the crime of not being Jews. Families of Palestinians wrongfully accused of terrorism face losing homes to Israeli bulldozers. On Monday, seven families were targeted, dozens lawlessly punished, including children. They’re homeless, victims of Israeli viciousness. Israel’s rubber-stamp High Court of (In)justice rejected petitions filed on behalf of four families to save their homes regime authorities had no right to demolish. Rubble replaced them. At times, victims are forced to pay for the loss of their own property. Since January, Israeli bulldozers left 650 Palestinians homeless. Half were children. Families guilty of no crimes were punished, their fundamental human rights violated. At times, entire misnamed unrecognized Bedouin villages are destroyed, residents displaced from land they and their ancestors lived on for generations or centuries, long before Israel was created. Israelis are governed under civil law, Occupied Palestinians under ruthless military orders controlling virtually every aspect of their lives, creating intolerable conditions, arousing justifiable resistance. When persecuted people face daily state terror, their choice is resist, endure horrific oppression or die. Long-suffering Palestinians deserve universal support, Israeli criminals held accountable for longstanding genocidal high crimes. Stephen Lendman lives in Chicago.
