WJCL-TV. UNION, S.C. Union County deputies said a woman poured gasoline on her husband while he was in bed and set him on fire.
Lashawn Stevens Hardy is charged with assault and attempted murder, according to the incident report.
Deputies said DeWayne Hardy showed up at Union Medical Center Saturday at 2:30 a.m. with second-degree burns to his neck and back.
Hardy was taken to the Augusta Burn Center by helicopter, according to deputies.
Deputies went to Hardys home on Tinker Creek Road, in Union, and found a mattress and bed sheets burned, according to the report.
Deputies said Lashawn Hardy admitted she poured gasoline on her husband and set him on fire.
She was taken into custody, and remains at the Union County Detention Center.
