Aaron Russo and Bob Schulz from We The People were here in Austin today previewing Aaron's documentary. It was outstanding and actually brought tears to my eyes several times. Aaron's on tour with it so if he comes to your town, run don't walk to the theater!

I've linked http://www.givemeliberty.org above where there's an article about the Denver showing and a preview.

Aaron plans to take "America, From Freedom to Fascism" to the Caan Film Festival. Following that he hopes to take it to theaters nationally. I pray that he does because this could be the thing that educates and wakes up the American people.

I'll take your word for it.

I haven't been to the movies in a long time.

christine, have you seen Jarecki's film "Why We Fight"? One of my faves, Col. Karen Kwiatkowski, raved about it the other day.

Re: Aaron Russo’s new film “America – Liberty to Fascism” shows in Austin 2/11/06

The producer of numerous “high-budget” movies and award winning films including Trading Places 1983 and eight other movies listed at the New York Times, Aaron Russo showed his new film to an enthusiastic crowd of over 200 at the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema in Austin on 2/11/06. This film exposes the vulnerability of the Internal Revenue and the Federal Reserve System in America. Many of the guest speakers that have appeared at the Silver Eagle Taphouse in McQueeney, Texas appear in this film including Ed Griffin from California, author of The Creature from Jekyll Island – A Second Look at the Federal Reserve System; Bob Shultz of New York, head of “We The People” presently suing the Federal Government in three class-action law suits; Ron Paul of Texas, known as “Dr. NO!” on Capitol Hill. This film features Larken Rose, expert on the IRS Tax Code, producer of The 861Evidence, who now is in Federal Prison, who made a fantastic, fearless, powerful witness against the IRS VIOLATION OF THE IRS CODE and CONSTITUTIONAL LAW in the Kangaroo trial of Richard Simkanin, factory owner, in Fort Worth Texas who is now doing 7 years in the Federal Penitentiary for knowing too much about the TAX CODE.

Aaron Russo was on hand to introduce this film and all were privileged to meet him and hear him live and in person say that all of America’s problems would be taken care of more easily if the Federal Reserve System was no longer in place. This resonated with an electric shock of agreement through the crowd. If this movie travels through the nation as other movies and important documentaries, the IRS and the Federal Reserve System are finished. No one who sees this movie will any longer believe that they owe IRS “income” tax and they will see the evil of the Federal Reserve System like never before.

I have never been as enthused about the patriot movement in years – Ron Avery

No, it's one of these "at selected theatres" deals, so if you Google the title with your zip or other locator, you should be able to find a place showing it---although the place may not be real near you. I'm going to have to drive a half hour from home today to see it.

christine, you have to see "Why We Fight." I saw it this afternoon and it's wonderful. Also now I know why Col. Kwiatkowski recommended it: she probably has the most sound bites in it! But she's fantastic just like she always is. And I was amazed to see people like Richard Perle, William Kristol, and John McCain giving interviews for the film. The theme is Eisenhower's Farewell Address to the nation in 1961, where he warned of a "military-industrial complex"---specifically of the potential threat it posed to our republican governmental traditions. Boy, were his words prophetic! I don't think Ike was perfect, but his sense of integrity and his knowledge of the way the military and defense contractors work beats the damn hell out of 99.99% of folks in DC today.

You can't win. You can't break even. You can't get out of the game.

I googled "Why We Fight", but you can only search the current week. I'll keep watching the Alamo Draft House schedule for it though. I get their email once a week. If you find out that it's available on DVD, will you let me know?
