H/T to Itistoolate

President Barack Obama in his most emphatic terms yet disputed the idea that Donald Trump will win this presidential election.

“I recognize that there is a deep obsession right now about Mr. Trump,” Obama told attendees of a Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee fundraiser Thursday evening in Santa Monica, California. “And one of you pulled me aside and squeezed me hard and said, ‘Tell me that Mr. Trump is not succeeding you.’ And I said, ‘Mr. Trump is not succeeding me.’”

Obama credited Trump and his primary rival, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, for exposing “some of the nonsense that we’ve been dealing with in Congress on a daily basis.”

“People act as if these folks are outliers. But they’re not,” Obama said, pointing to what Republicans in general say during interviews, on talk radio and in town halls. “They’re saying stuff that’s just as wacky as what we’re hearing out of the presidential candidates. It’s just nobody was paying attention.”

Democrats should thank Trump and Cruz for their honesty, Obama remarked, while also expressing that their rhetoric provides a look into what’s at stake in this election — which he said is about more than why Democrats can take America in a better direction than Republicans.

Obama recalled that during trips in Democratic circles he’s praised for his work the last seven-plus years but told that people aren’t that excited about this election.

“And I say I have no patience for that. I say thank you very much, first,” Obama said. “But then I say to folks, we cannot be complacent, and we cannot be cynical, because the stakes are too high. And we should take pride in what we’ve accomplished over the last seven and a half years, not because every problem was fixed, but because it showed the steady progress that happens when people who love this country decide to change it.”

“And that should be a spur, a call to action,” he added. “And it starts not just at the presidential level, but in us recognizing the enormous power of Congress and the difference between a Nancy Pelosi being speaker of the House and a Paul Ryan being speaker of the House.”

TRUMP Political Strategist: Trump Will Amass 1,237 Delegates Needed to Clinch Nomination

Jim Hoft Apr 8th, 2016 2:21 pm 46 Comments

Earlier this week The Gateway Pundit predicted that Donald Trump would win the 1,237 delegates needed to clinch the Republican nomination before the convention in July.

In our conservative estimate we even gave Ted “New York Values” Cruz 35 delegates in New York which is impossible at this point.

Trump leads New York by 52% in the latest polling and could sweep all delegates in the Empire State.

We also predicted Ted Cruz will run out of delegates by April 26 unless he continues to steal them from Trump.

Today Donald Trump’s political strategist reported the same news.
Trump will amass the 1,237 delegates needed to win the nomination before the July convention.
Reuters reported:

Donald Trump’s new top political strategist predicted on Friday the Republican presidential front-runner would amass the 1,237 delegates needed to clinch his party’s nomination well before the Republican National Convention in July.

Veteran campaign tactician Paul Manafort was chosen by Trump on Thursday to oversee a fractious nomination process that many Republicans expect may not yield a clear winner before the convention.

Manafort said on CNN’s “New Day” program that rival Ted Cruz, the U.S. senator from Texas, will not be able to dent Trump’s delegate lead before California’s June 7 primary.

“The reality is: Ted Cruz has seen his best day,” Manafort said. “The reality is: this convention process will be over with sometime in June, probably June 7, and it’ll be apparent to the world that Trump is over that 1,237 number.”

Trump has been uncharacteristically quiet on social media after his double-digit loss to Cruz in the Wisconsin primary on Tuesday, which followed a series of missteps on the campaign trail including his statement, later recanted, advocating punishment for women who have illegal abortions.

Watch and see what happens. Trump will be the Republican nominee and the Democrats will be scrambling to make the wheels of corruption turn. ;)

Did the coon expand on that outrageous statement?

Its gonna be a barn burner if the neocons try and rig the convention, for sure.

if the neocons try and rig the convention

Remember that ALL of the delegates that voted for Ron Paul are in place, same as four years ago. Which way will they go? Fun question, but I think we all know the answer to that one. ;)
