In 2012 we used to see columns of SAA tanks beasting, 10-20 at a time, surrounding rebel towns and blasting the sh-t out of them. We used to see rebels crying for lack of heavy weapons. Rebels had only small mortars that half the time would end up blowing themselves up. Their most powerful weapon was a machine-gun mounted on a simple Toyota pick-up. The SAA would decimate rebel positions by firing 100's of artillery rounds. Civilians in rebel controlled areas were shelled, stabbed and shot up by pissed off SAA or militia. In return Non-stop pictures of dead bodies were posted online of rebels crying for help by posting pictures of various dead bodies looking for support. Now in 2016 everything seems flip-flopped. SAA tanks seem to be scarce. Before a whole SAA armored division would have 40-80 tanks, now it shows up on the battlefield with only four. It's shocking to see SAA soldiers celebrate when they capture a Toyota trunk mounted with a machine gun. Ziad, even posted a picture of one captured from the rebels a dozen posts ago like it was some major acquisition. Continuing on the flop side, I just watched videos of Jaish Al Fatah run a armored column of 6-10 tanks around Khan Touman surrounding the SAA/allies just like the SAA used to do to the rebels in 2012. I think this is one of the first times I've seen Ziad post pictures of civilians in SAA areas killed by rebels like he's looking for sympathy/help. Now rebels are the ones constantly firing mortar rounds at civilians and SAA's front line while the SAA relies on homemade ammunition (barrel bombs) for most of its attacks.
