Had both Uriah Heep and Bad Company 8-track tapes and would blast them in my 340 Duster buzzing around town back in the day.. :)
As far as the "from Bulgaria" thing at the end, have no idea. Perhaps it's the babe at the end sending her love??
"After tomorrow those SOB's will never embarrass me again. Thats not a threat. Thats a promise. LBJ to his mistress Madeleine Brown on the eve of JFK assassination
My Bulgarian says "Uriah Heep are very popular in Bulgaria. Every year thousands of Bulgarians stay all night on the Black sea beach to watch sunrise on July 1st, listening to their famous song July Morning. I think several years ago Uriah Heep actually did a live performance on the beech on in the morning on July 1st. During socialist years all western bands were banned from having live performances in Bulgaria. People only listened the recorded music, and loved it probably more than the westerners."
You know, I've never really looked into Bulgaria or anything about it in the past, just didn't pop into my head as something to do.
But, OMG, I looked up "Bulgarian women" and they are all absolutely beautiful. I might very well need to take a vacation there sometime, perhaps on that Black Sea beach you mention. After learning the language of course... :)
Then there's always the phrase, "Gavorish li angliiski?".

Mississippi Queen by Mountain, now that's an oldie, one of my favorites back in the day.
I'm sure you must have heard of these guys..

You've GOT to check this one out, it's Deep Purple playing in front of a TV audience. It's absolutely amazing, in my eyes at least..

I like Buffalo Springfield, never saw them in a video before.

The more things change, the more they stay the same?
Seems that way.
When was the last time the US wasn't at war?

What amazes me about the video though is beyond its relevance in its lyrics.
It's the dead non-reaction in the crowd that throws in a weird curve ball to the amazing show that these guys are putting on, with the insane vocals, intensity of the instruments, and overall awesomeness of the performance.

Sometime back in 1990 I was marveling at how we weren't attacking anybody. Then seemingly within minutes, "Poppy" Bush was shrieking in that horribly effeminate voice of his that something or other was going on in Kuwait and amerika had to get wrapped around it -- and I knew deep down they would soon have us in a state of permanent, total war. ("We gotta GET SadDAM HusSEIN -- OUTta there!")
"Desert Shield" morphed into "Desert Storm". Dr. Fields called it Desert Slaughter -- rightly, I'm sure. It's been downhill ever since, no small thanks to Monica Jewinski
