Wow! that's quick. Almost no runway needed for those guys.

Yeah, that is impressive, and these guys are great flyers. Of course what they are flying weight almost nothing, and is fully stripped. Been to Valdez quite a few times. Great salmon fishing in July and August. U.S. Constitution - Article IV, Section 4: NO BORDERS + NO LAWS = NO COUNTRY
That's exactly the whole concept: land on a patch of tundra, a sandbar in a river, someplace unorthodox. Here's the purpose-built progenitor of STOL aircraft, and a highly collectible aircraft to this very day: STOL
