On June 15, Donald Trump tweeted remarks related to the Florida shooting. "I will be meeting with the NRA, who has endorsed me, about not allowing people on the terrorist watch list, or the no fly list, to buy guns," Trump wrote.

The problem with this is that millions of innocent Americans have been put on these fraudulent 'terrorist watch lists' and 'no-fly lists' since the false flag 9/11 attack, which was actually conducted by the CIA and Israel.

Here is Trump's tweet:

I will be meeting with the NRA, who has endorsed me, about not allowing people on the terrorist watch list, or the no fly list, to buy guns.— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) June 15, 2016

Trump Promises To "not allow people on the terrorist watch list, or the no fly list, to buy guns"

That is NOT what Trump's tweet says.

"I will be meeting with the NRA, who has endorsed me, about not allowing people on the terrorist watch list, or the no fly list, to buy guns."

This is saying no more than he'll be meeting with the NRA about the issue. This says nothing about any promises, or what he will decide on the issue.

It really irritates me when people (on the source site, apparently) fail to read things objectively.

freakin a man, the tweet is pasted literally verbatim.

If you don't know trump's history of advocating a ban of assault weapons literally months before he announced his gop campaign, simply do more research. actual gun advocates know full well of this harry reid donor's long and extensively documented anti-gun history.

I'm normally nice, but here, your claim is flat out wrong. It is NOT "verbatim". Look up the word if you need to.

Trump tweeted:

"I will be meeting with the NRA, who has endorsed me, about not allowing people on the terrorist watch list, or the no fly list, to buy guns."

Article title:

"Trump Promises To "not allow people on the terrorist watch list, or the no fly list, to buy guns""

So what both have in common is:

"not allow[ing] people on the terrorist watch list, or the no fly list, to buy guns"

What's different is the prefix:

"Trump Promises To"

vs

"I will be meeting with the NRA, who has endorsed me, about"

Don't freaking try to claim these two prefixes mean the same thing.

They. Do. Not.

As for what Trump has said in the past or will do in the future, I don't know.

But I CAN read. Stick with the facts, and don't put words in anyone's mouth.

Time will tell -- You're right, Ping, but God only knows whether he'll show any sanity on the subject as Pezident :-o

IMHO, Trump fans should break with GOP cultist tradition and spend at least as much time in skepticism as adulation. They're being nowhere alert enuff and need to send a msg that we the people will not be snookered again (even if we will, with great relish).

your rebuttal was still actually very nice and polite. :-)

fair enough, point taken.

regardless, it's still bogus b.s. to hold such a meeting and why would anyone hold or participate in such a meeting anyway if they weren't at least favorable to the authoritarian idea? would ron paul support such a meeting? no. because principle dictates the exact opposite. the lists should not even exist, much less purport that they are somehow valid. i'd bet everyone who posts here is on such a list.

very well said. the election circus, peculiar as it is, has become less interesting to watch over the year, at least for me, and I have moved on to other things.

I guess I'm not good at being mean. Maybe I need to work on that some more!

why would anyone hold or participate in such a meeting anyway if they weren't at least favorable to the authoritarian idea?

A good leader knows he doesn't know everything. He probably wants to meet with them to get their input on how to deal with the subject. Trump doesn't want to say stupid stuff like he did on the abortion issue, which happened because he wasn't prepared with well thought out positions. So meeting with the NRA, who Trump pointed out has endorsed him, is so Trump can learn some things from them. I think Trump's pointing out the NRA endorsement is a significant part of the message signalling that he was going to them to listen, not to dictate.

would ron paul support such a meeting? no. because principle dictates the exact opposite.

I disagree. I think Ron would meet with them. Ron has no problem with speaking gigs and meeting with all kinds of groups of controversial standing. He's been criticized for doing so, and accepting donations from white supremists and such. I think Ron recognizes that any chance he has to communicate his values to any group is a good opportunity, and as long as a donor has a legal right to vote and wants to donate money to his campaign for any reason, then refusing it would be disrespectful of that person's rights, and un-American.

the lists should not even exist, much less purport that they are somehow valid.

I agree. It's a patently unconstitutional thing as it is, and depriving someone of the 2nd Amendment right to bear arms without due process is patently unconstitutional. It should be a slam dunk ruling of unconstitutionality in the courts.

Trump is a wild card. We don't know what he'll do when he gets in. But he does not seem to be part of the establishment, he does not seem to be running for prez out of some desire for power (unlike Hillary), and he does seem to have a genuine interest in doing what he thinks is right for the country and average Americans. And those are things that we can't say about any president since maybe JFK.
