NBC News: Trump Hasn't Forgiven $45M Loan to Campaign

Image: NBC News: Trump Hasn't Forgiven $45M Loan to Campaign Donald Trump (Getty Images)

By Mark Swanson | Thursday, 30 Jun 2016 12:57 PM

Despite his assertions last week that he had forgiven $45 million in loans he made to his campaign, NBC News is reporting that Donald Trump has not done so. NBC News reports that the FEC has no record of that happening and Trump is refusing to release proof to support his claims that the $45 million has been reclassified as candidate donations.

Trump campaign spokeswoman Hope Hicks told NBC News that the paperwork "will be filed with the next regularly scheduled FEC report," which is July 20.

At stake is new fundraising and what Trump intends to do with it. He is allowed by law to reimburse himself, but top GOP donors wanted assurances from the Republican nominee that he wouldn't use their money to pay back monies spent on the primary. Donors want their money being spent on operations to defeat Hillary Clinton in the general.

A total non-story, imo.

So he's proven himself a liar? Then forget him.

Let's vote for Hillary instead, as she has a proven track record of honesty.

He's not talking about all the money the company he owns is making from the sales of Trump campaign t-shirts and hats, either. None are free. His campaign is buying them from his company that imports them from China,so he is getting paid twice for them. Once when he sells them to the sheep that follow him,and again when he gets the contributions and matching federal funds to pay his campaign for buying them from his company and then selling them.

Some are gullible enough to swallow that Butch Clinton gets a well earned quarter million for a 45 minute ramble.

Butch Hillary lovers come with appropriate names.

This is the Bill Kri$tol club not wanting a penny to go against campaigning for Hillary.

Why does the bill kri$tol club not want a cent to go to D.T. when D.T. has the overwhelming majority of gopE votes?

I'm far from the only one. This is the exact system he uses to bankrupt companies he buys into. He bills them for all his living expenses, travel expenses, legal expenses, and even sells them the things they need at no-bid prices. In the end he walks away with more money because the company went bankrupt paying for his life-style.

He has also been billing the government for the use of his personal jet, limo's,food, and even the salaries of the employees that travel around with him since the first day of his campaign.

That is who and what he is.

I don't think anyone really believes that. The corporations probably come the closest because they understand that what they are really doing is paying a bribe to her to get government contracts approved, government investigations into their business dealings stopped, government investigations into their competitors started, etc, etc, etc. For them a bribe that small is a bargain.

On the political side,IMO it is just a case of "I don't care what is done as long as MY team wins!" Her supporters have no moral compass to read wrong. All they care about is winning.

Much like the alleged Republicans that supported Boy Jorge,McLunatic, and Romney.

McLunatic

My sister in Chicago said she couldn't vote for Obummer even tho she had voted Democrat her whole life. So she voted for McKook.

I told her she still voted for evil since both candidates were members of the Council on Foreign Relations. As such they were both internationalists, and both traitors to America. ;)
