I don't know how to post a pic but there are pics of this sad old bastard all over the web, such as Drudge. Right side of his face is all yellow and it looks like he's recovering from a black eye. Now, you hunters out there: would a load of birdshot do this to someone? What would do this? Or is this guy recovering from a black eye like someone beat the crap out of him?

What do you think?

These injuries are indeed consistent with getting hit with birdshot, and... a heart attack.

When you have a heart attack, it puts so much pressure on your veins and capillaries that they distend, and burst, causing bruising under the eyes and such.

You can get black eyes from having a difficult time on the toilet. Women who go through child birth are known to have them, broken blood vessels aren't uncommon at all, especially when this guy got shot in the face from less than 30 feet. You can see the spacing of the birdshot. He was shot LESS THAN 30 Feet away.

It takes a lot of power to break the skin when the projectiles are just pellets. The other thing is, that when a pellet hits, it doesn't just make a little hole, the skin stretches and causes compound bruising. Try poking a hole in your waterbed with the round end of a plunger and you'll have a fair representation of a pellet hitting the skin hard enough to break it.

The injuries are consistent. PERIOD.

Agreed. I have seen at least 2 of my goofy family members come back pepperd from bird shot on a number of occasions. I would say his injuries are consistant as well. Guy is lucky he didn't lose an eye.
