Sordid US history proves it cant be trusted, agreements made systematically breached. Americas longstanding agenda calls for replacing all sovereign independent nations with US vassal states - by color revolutions or wars of aggression. Syria remains in the eye of the storm, along with eliminating freedom-fighting resistance in southeastern Ukraine. Kerrys fourth visit to Moscow since May 2015 isnt about improving bilateral relations. Theyve been sour for most of the past century, notably during Putins tenure. US hardliners absurdly consider him Americas main existential threat - because of his redoubtable spirit, his commitment to keep Russia free from imperial control, and his dedication to world peace and stability. Russias Foreign Ministry said Kerry and Sergey Lavrov will continue to discuss topical issues of bilateral cooperation and international agenda - admitting relations remain difficult, seriously suffer(ing) from unfriendly (US) moves since Washington replaced democrats with Nazi-infested putschists in Ukraine. According to Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, Putin and Lavrov will meet with Kerry on July 14 and 15 for substantial talks on key issues, notably on Syria and Ukraine. Russia alone among major powers continues going all-out for conflict resolution in both countries - unattainable because Washington wants war, not peace. It wants US-controlled puppet governance replacing Syrian sovereign independence, its people denied the right to decide wholl lead them. It wants Donbass freedom-fighters eliminated, fascist rule replacing them. US/Russian objectives differ intractably. Kerrys visit wont change them. If Hillary Clinton succeeds Obama next year, expect deeper US-instigated hostility - perhaps the horror of unthinkable war between the worlds leading nuclear powers. Stephen Lendman lives in Chicago.
