A lot of people live in those states and it would be impractical for most of them to leave. But, the cops have shown that they cannot be trusted with this BS about civil asset forfeiture. ;)

I'm not in the habit of carrying around $50,000 CASH in my truck. I've yet, on the very few previous occasions I've been pulled over by the jack-booted thugs, to be asked whether or not I was carrying A Large Amount Of Cash. I'm not saying that it's not happening, but I don't read about it happening where I travel around my part of the state. Lastly, I've cultivated an understated, low-key 'look' for my truck: I 'belong' in whatever part of the state I'm driving in :)

I had a bunch of stickers on my old Blazer years ago. A few of them were pro-gun stickers. I stopped in a rest area in downstate Illinois to catch a cat nap. There was a State Trooper who was cruising by and he stopped to read the stickers. I hope I tripped his trigger with them. Anyway he moved away quietly. ;)
