Karen and I met up with Roger, his wife and a few other friends for a little feast at John's Grill in the financial district in San Fran... I ordered my usual, a medium rare ribeye with a baked potato on the side (Im pretty sure this would be my last meal if I was ever on death-row) Anyways, before the food came out the bread basket was getting passed around along with some cheeses that the rest of the table ordered. I politely passed on them like usual. Thats when Roger (who reads my newsletter everyday) said that he was surprised. He didn't think I actually I ate the way I said I did. I got a little chuckle out of this. "You think I tell people to do one thing and then I do another? I'm not Hillary" I said with a little laugh. But it's funny this kind of thing always comes up when I'm eating with people who read my newsletter. They watch me and want to see if Im for real. And that's fine. I know it comes with the territory. Honestly, I don't even really entertain the idea anymore of eating junk because I know what I felt like back in the day when I used to eat like that. When I was 55 lbs overweight, I'd pile on the pasta, the heavy sauces, the dessert and then an hour later I'd feel like a bear that got shot with a tranquilizer dart. It was a nightmare. But once I turned my health around, I vowed that I wouldn't go back to that. And I've stuck to it pretty firmly. It's just like anything else in your life, healthy eating has to be a priority if you want it to work. Just like you have to make your marriage a priority, or you have to make being a parent a priority. If you have other things that rank higher on the priority scale, then it's gonna be a lot easier to give in to the junk food out there. So my advice? Make healthy eating a priority in your life. Maybe that means you stop running through McDonald's at lunch during the week, or you start eating a healthier breakfast everyday. Those small commitments add up and make a difference. That's all from me for today... Enjoy your Sunday. God Bless, - Jeff Reagan Founder, Patriot Health Alliance Poster Comment: I usually like my steaks medium rare. The raw meat digests better than well done. Eat better to stay healthy. The McD's drive thru is usually packed every day out here. Post Comment Private Reply Ignore Thread
