Indeed. I seem to recall reading an article recently ( past 2 weeks) that Euro newspapers and police spokesmen have been told avoid using hot button phrases ( like radical , Muslim, Islamist) when describing a criminal. So now the perp is described as a impoverished, mentally disturbed, Somalian- Norwegian who has lost his way and who needs therapy and love. You get the drill...

Good question. Liberalism seems to pacify people, lull them into a false sense of reality. The West has been firmly in the grip of liberalism since WWII ended.Even now when there's been lone wolf attacks or jihadist events in Europe and the USA, people's responses have been uniformly placid - candles, teddy bears, flowers.
