War, War, War See other War, War, War Articles Title: We're All Syrians Now We’re All Syrians Now by Stephen Lendman Syria’s struggle against US imperial ruthlessness is ours. After nearly five-and-a-half years of Obama’s war, the fate of the nation and region hang in the balance. Defeating Washington’s rogue agenda is crucial. Letting it colonize Syria means Iran is next - Russia and China the ultimate targets, the only nations able to prevent unchallenged US global hegemony, a horrifying prospect. Bipartisan neocons infesting Washington deplore peace and stability, waging endless wars of aggression in multiple theaters instead - Syria one of many targeted countries, others raging, still more in America’s queue for future attacks. Its war machine thrives on perpetual conflicts. Targeted enemies are grist for its mill. When none exist like now they’re invented. America is the greatest threat to world peace, Russia under Putin humanity’s best hope. His Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov responded to Obama calling him untrustworthy, saying “I believe that Russia’s policy on Syria, just like our foreign policy in general, is very logical, clear and pursues the objectives, which we hope are shared by most members of the international community.” He blasted Washington’s disruptive actions, its illegal sanctions, exerting pressure through military means, arbitrarily arresting Russian citizens abroad without just cause, and using NATO provocatively. Normalized relations aren’t possible under these conditions. Washington shows no signs of changing its deplorable behavior. Things seem inevitably headed toward East/West confrontation, the unthinkable possibility of conflict between the world’s leading nuclear powers. Russia intensified its airstrikes against US-supported terrorists in and around Aleppo, flying scores of sorties, hitting numerous targets, killing or injuring hundreds, destroying arms, munitions and equipment. According to General Viktor Bondarev, Russia’s “Aerospace Forces became the most powerful branch of Russia’s armed forces thanks to the attention of the country’s leadership.” “We receive advanced weaponry and military equipment in due time. This is why the Aerospace Forces are successfully breaking the backbone of international terrorism in the Syrian Arab Republic.” Eliminating its scourge entirely remains the ultimate goal, along with preserving Syrian sovereignty and territorial integrity - free from further US imperial ravaging. We live in an Alice in Wonderland modern day, where our own nation, America, has become the bad guy World's Aggressor and a former Communist nation, Russia, is now the World's champion fighting Aggression. And you're 100% right about the bi-paritisan neocon infestation causing the cancer to our Republic. That's why Trump must win in November. He's a DC outsider, a non-politician, he's neocon cancer free. As Trump once said - we may not like him, but we need him.
