You simply cannot fight effectively from inside your car against a threat outside your car. Of course, your first option when faced with deadly force would be to drive away, but if, for whatever reason, you can’t drive away, you need to get out of your car and fight. Incoming rounds will typically drop right down into the driver’s seat. Outgoing rounds will not be anywhere close to accurate and the oppressive noise and pressure may disorient you. Get out and fight.
Your Car is Cover…
…but only if you are outside and moving around the vehicle to improve your position. If you can’t drive away, get out and fight.
